I agree. I only made it to “Star” rank, but it was some of the best times of my 
life. Jimmy . You probably know of both the “Little River Canyon” and the HUGE 
“Jamboree” they had here each year out at Ft. McClennan  right?? Those were my 
favorite camping times of the year. Now that I think about it, I am almost 
positive they had trout fishing at Little River canyon, which is less that 100 
miles from me now. Mayne I should look it up and try to go on a trout fishing 
outing there. Chuck

another Eagle and re-present it during the week at Philmont.  Jeff, who lives 
in Carrollton, TX  and I got with National BSA and they checked it out and all 
was kosher, so they sent the Eagle Badge to me.  I presented it to Denny at the 
opening banquet of the Fishing Invitational. Blew Denny totally away.  It was a 
very moving experience for all of us,  Denny was spechless.

Eagle and re-present it during the week atPhilmont.  Jeff, who lives in 
Carrollton, TX  and I got with NationalBSA and they checked it out and all was 
kosher, so they sent the EagleBadge to me.  I presented it to Denny at the 
opening banquet of theFishing Invitational. Blew Denny totally away.  It was a 
very movingexperience for all of us,  Denny was spechless.

Nick: Although I never met Denny in person, he was one of the many who helped 
me from day one as well and never minded answering my MILLION questions. I 
still have a lot of great hackles I got from him through the yrs as well. I

landing in Little Rock. (Then I stayed with them at the Wildcat Shoals Resort.)

I remember Denny well, on my fist trip to the Sowbug he suggested that i
move over from the hotel into the cabin where he and 
staid. Jimi joined the gang as well, we talked the whole night about
roosters, hackle, hens and eggs. His knowledge was amazing. Will really
miss him.

Tony, I’m really very sorry to learn about this. With the passing of Chris 
Helms last week and now Denny, we lost two class acts in our close circle of 
buddies. Since I’m in Idaho now, I had hoped to go up and fish with him this 
spring. Another reminder not to put off important things in life.

Although we didn’t talk weekly like you guys did, when we did talk it was a 
marathon conversation, sometimes lasting hours. I’ll miss him.
