When we visited my son in Boise Idaho this past winter- they had record cold
temperatures of 0°F.
We just visited them two weeks ago and they broke all kinds of records for
heat, getting up to 116°F. 100°F+ temps lasted for a week, high 90’s at night.
I’ve never seen 116°F, not in Vegas, Death Valley, Baja, S. Florida- nowhere.
My hottest recorded was Death Valley at 112°F. We drove to Portland the day
before the 116°, so I didn’t get to witness that personally.
My son moved there for the moderate climate.
BTW, my grand-daughter is getting HUGE (not fat), but HUGE. She’s 10 months
old and needs 1.5 year old clothes. I’m no baby development expert, but I’d
swear this kid is a year and a half old. She’ll need some flyfishing
instruction soon- getting her some DVDs.

Been like a blast furnace here. 90 plus and a dry breeze. To make things
worse, we just came off a wet spell and the lawn is growing like crazy. Been
