[videoblogging] Re: Videora new conversion?

2007-05-30 Thread Gromik Tohoku
Hi,
I am wondering if someone has problems converting
their films into iPod files with the new videora.

I can convert a film into iPod format, but once I
upload it on blip.tv, the film does not transfer
automatically to my iTunes podcast. So I am wondering
why.

This is what I have tried so far.
1) I changed the screen size from original to 320x240
but that did not work.
2) I used a different H264 system avisynch, but that
also did not work.

Next I used Jodix, and again at first the screen size
of the film was too big.
After changing that I was able to upload the iPod
format directly onto my iPod.

But the Jodix conversion does not go from blip.tv to
iTunes. So what could it be?

Thanks for any advice with this matter.
Sincerely,
Nicolas

[videoblogging] Boston Media Makers Meeting this Sunday Morning: How to get your video seen

2007-05-30 Thread Steve Garfield
Hello friends,

For anyone in Boston, here's a reminder about our monthly meeting...

Boston Media Makers Meeting this Sunday Morning
Sweet Finnish in Jamaica Plain on Sunday June 3rd at 10:00 AM.

10:00 - 10:30 Mingling
10:30 - 11:30 Roundtable
11:30 - Noon ( or later ) Discussion

Beth Kanter will lead us in a discussion about how to get your video
seen. Using social media tools and other methods to help people find
your videos.

Bring your best promo tips to share.

This isn’t going to be a lecture or presentation. We’re all going to
share what’s worked for us and think about ideas for the future.

The intelligence is in the room!

Here are some of Beth’s ideas we’ll talk about:

-Use of tags — many as possible to describe your videoblog post
-Tag your video blog post into del.icio.us - forward to your del.icio.us
network
-Screenshot in flickr with url to blog post or videoblog post
-Send your flickr screenshot to groups, contacts
-email to list of friends
-RSS feed (of course)
-send your video to appropriate groups on video hosting sites
-ego feed and topic feed via watchlists on technorati - and comment
on those
blogs with similar content and leave your url
-linked in appropriate directories/collections related to your topic
-posted to blog, ping technorati
-post to any social networking profiles and ping your friends

More here:
http://bostonmediamakers.wordpress.com/

I'll probably try to get a stream going again like last week...

Hello

The rounded corners are usually drawn in.

So... if you have a white background. The you draw in the negative
space of the corners with black or something.

(Does that make sense?)

Hi,
Just found out by looking at 'My Account / Videos' that the videos
were rejected for being too long.

I'm shortening them now and re uploading

I was under the impression the Director accounts could have longer
length videos...

Can't find that info online though...

Is Google Video still accepting video submissions.

I thought it was going to become search only. And YouTube would be

Part of the reason Jail has happened is because the community has a
old School which the School Board, City Council, and County Board is
working to Demo. I believe part of the facility could be used to
house the SET I have been working for the past 9 months to convince
the community and find money players to pull deal together. I have a
history in this community of bieng a bit of a rebel.

When I worked as a Photojournalist for the local Media I watched as
some communities would renovate old schools and find a use for them.
It is a national problem where school districts are building new
schools and tearing down old buildings with out working to find a
reuse wasting taxpayer money winning about how they want more money.

The school district has an Order for Protection on me I am not
allowed to talk to School Board Members, or Employees. I am one of
those people who speaks out as most of you are aware few people are
willing to get involved and stick there neck out for fear of getting
burned see what happened to me.
My opinion in this is that many of our Schools have a hard time
dealing with creative people and I have been very creative in working
to convince them they need to work toward finding a reuse and not
waste a valuable resource.

Someone posted about the other side police reports any one want to
email me direct or call I will share with them. I have Two Counts of
Terroristic Threats, One Count of Obstructing Justice, and a Family
matter which has also been tied into the whole deal.

I am a very creative person and most people family included have a
hard time understanding your highs and lows. Out of this tempory
chalenge for me hopefully I will be able to share the experience
helping others avoid it:)

I have been working find some way to make money off of my passion to
create content but have gotten side lined to follow a cause Change
Our World and Get People Involved which has unlimited possibilities.

I consider my self an Entrepreneur in the USA most everything is
