Subject: [j2000] Check out History Channel Doc Series on the 'Sandhogs' -
Sun 10/9 C

Check out a documentary series I directed/field produced on the NYC
Sandhogs, premiering Sunday Sept. 7th 10/9 C. This 11 hour series called
'Sandhogs,' will air every Sunday night for the next 11 weeks.
The Sandhogs are NYC's underground heroes who have built the NYC water
tunnels and transportation systems, including the famous Brooklyn Bridge. We
have access to a world no one knows about, men who are as tough as they get,
and stories that have never been told before. Check it out and learn a
little bit about NYC's history.

I would love to know what you think.

 All the best,

Hi Dave and Felipe,

MPEG Streamclip is the answer. Dave, I replied to your last post
asking about this, and recommending MPEG Streamclip - did you not see
it? There's no need to buy a product for transcoding videos.

Hi Felipe,

I don't think there are free converters because of the QT codec.

I tried but all were shareware with a big logo over the result.

I think Quicktime Pro is the main answer - still deciding whether to
get it myself.

[videoblogging] AVI to MOV freeware?

2008-09-07 Thread hoclides
Hi guys and gals,

it's me again. I've been trying to export some video files from AVI to
MOV (H264). There are many solutions out there, though most of them
aren't free. Being a person with limited financial resources, I'm only
interested in freeware and after trying some, I went with MPEG
Streamline 1.2 because it was the only to actually convert the file.
However, as good looking as the file is now, it lacks sound where the
original one had plenty of it. Does anyone know a good freeware AVI to
MOV (or WMV to MOV) converter?

Thanks,
Felipe
