[videoblogging] Newsflash from the future

2009-08-06 Thread Rupert Howe
Things like this come along to remind me that it's 2009 already. WE
LIVE IN THE FUTURE.

Fuji are releasing a 3D digital stills and video point and shoot
camera, and standalone wireless 3D digital picture frame. No glasses
required for viewing 3D on either the camera or the picture frame.

Nikon are releasing a point and shoot camera with 4 video modes and
built-in 40 inch projector.

Both coming to stores near you in September. if you live in America.
the Japanese have probably had this shit for years. the rest of us
peasants will probably get access to them around 2015. by which time
you'll all have hoverboards.

Re: [videoblogging] Magma

2009-08-06 Thread Rupert Howe
Checking out the channels more. Good stuff. It'd be great if there
were an option to make the videos in a channel auto play one after the
other, like a regular playlist. The leanback watching experience is
going to be hugely important and Magma is perfectly placed to take
advantage of the massive integration of TV and internet that YouTube
XL, Hulu and Boxee are preparing for. Did you thought about adding
accessibility for remote control when designing the UI?
