Re: [videoblogging] Re: eBooks and vLogs
A great looking iPhone ebook app called Enhanced Editions was released last week: http://aptstudio.com/timesemit/2009/09/09/enhanced-editions-for-iphone/ It syncs text and audio - so you can switch between the two without losing your place - and has embedded video clips. Not open to the public to use - but good implementation of ebooks if you wanted inspiration. Re: [videoblogging] Re: What Randy mann Said in the Videoconference last night.
Great discussion. Have been working on a digitally-based (and world-based) multi-media documentary forever. It keeps shape-shifting, etc., but definitely want it to exist as a documentary motion picture. Here it is, so far: http://depressionstrategies.blogspot.com/2008/12/worlds-longest-open-love-letter.html Using Blip.tv's show player to drag and drop vlog entries around, in and out. It's at a point where I need more brains involved. That stopped me. When I had some money, spent it on an editor / blogger / cinematographer (thanks @Quirk). Stopped for work and frustration at where to go. It will begin eventually. Probably in January when the work dries up. It's really fucking difficult. So for me the questions are: 1. what would a web native video doc be? (Seth Keen is answering this one way, Florian Thalhofer another.) 2. how might this be combined with trad. doco? 3. blogs are already documentary, so what needs to change (in us or the maker) to think of it more formerly as documentary in the video mode? Take your camera everywhere you go. 2. Use it any time day and night. 3. Lomography is not an interference in your life, but part of it. 4. Try the shot from the hip. 5. Approach the objects of your Lomographic desire as close as possible. 6. Dont think. (William Firebrace) 7. Be fast. 8. You dont have to know beforehand what you captured on film. 9. Afterwards either. 10. Dont worry about any rules. - And now my backup is done. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo! This is -- in part -- why I've given up trying to maintain my WordPress vlogs. :( Jan Jan McLaughlin Production Sound Mixer air = 862-571-5334 aim = janofsound skype = janmclaughlin On Sun, Sep 6, 2009 at 4:59 PM, elbowsofdeath st...@dvmachine.com wrote: Thanks for the info. The sneaky thing about that is that you may not have any other symptoms besides these hidden accounts and then think you are safe once you've upgraded. The are, essentially, back doors left on your site to be exploited later. So you have to make sure to get rid of them. The process is a little tricky at least it's not a typical WordPress user operation so I've documented two ways to do it in this screencast. http://reports.graymattergravy.com/2009/09/06/remove-hidden-admin-users-in-wordpress/ - Verdi -- Michael Verdi http://milkweedmediadesign.com http://michaelverdi.com Yahoo!
