Re: [videoblogging] Re: blip.tv having problems?
hi Heath, all - We've been making some adjustments to our video delivery systems this weekend to increase reliability, and hopefully speed things up a little. I'm afraid there *has* been a bit of a slowdown while we work on getting the burps out of it. We're aiming to have everything running smoothly as soon as possible. Thanks to all for your continued support! cheers, - Jared -- Jared Klett Co-founder, Blip.tv E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Vlog: http://jklett.blip.tv/ AIM: JaredAtWrok Skype: JaredOnSkype On Feb 5, 2006, at 1:52 PM, hpbatman7 wrote: Not intending to slam/knock them in any way, I think Blip does a fantastic job, and I love there service, I just wanted to make sure I was not doing anything wrong and to make sure it was not just me or my system... --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, Paul Knight [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hey Guys, Really, don't go knocking blip.tv or Blogger, they are a free service, of course they will have problems, the more people use the service the slower it gets, isn't that how computers work. I know it can be frustrating but remember what else do you get for free nowadays, not much I'll bet. Blimey! You think blip.tv is slow, hey, try the Archive! The only time you need to moan is when you have paid for a service that runs slow, right? But you don't get that happening, because the money is paying for a good service. These places that offer storage and distribution, God Bless 'Em, I think we should have more respect. Re: [videoblogging] How to remove live chat?

I'll add it to our todo list and the development status on our wiki. I'm sure that others will benefit from such a feature, too! :) http://pokkari.com/wiki/index.php/Development_status cheers, - Jared -- Jared Klett Co-founder, Blip.tv E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Vlog: http://jklett.blip.tv/ AIM: JaredAtWrok Skype: JaredOnSkype Yahoo! [videoblogging] Re: Richard and Bill Recaping Meet the Vloggers
hi Bill, we've been experimenting with transcoding Quicktime movies to Flash Video (FLV) on Blip - if it will help, I can make a Flash version of your video available. otherwise, it played fine for me - Mac OS X 10.4.3 with Quicktime 7.0.2, and 3ivx D4 4.5.1 installed. let us know if there's anything we can do for you! cheers, - Jared -- Jared Klett Co-founder, Blip.tv E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Vlog: http://jklett.blip.tv/ AIM: JaredAtWrok Skype: JaredOnSkype On Nov 21, 2005, at 8:46 PM, Bill Streeter wrote: Yeah the issue is with the video that I posted on Blip.tv http://blip.tv/file/4915/ of Richard and I returning from the Meet the Vloggers in Chicago. It's not on my main blog, so there is no Flash version, it's the QuickTime. This happened once before. I did something with 3vix that made some people get a white screen rather than a picture. And the weird thing was that these people had simularly configured machines to mine (OS 10.4 QuickTime 7) etc. Yet I could view the files and they couldn't. The only thing I could think of was the fact that I had 3vix installed on my Quicktime and they didn't. Bill Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~-- AIDS in India: A lurking bomb.
