Re: [videoblogging] AHA! NOW I MIGHT know why MP4 remains elusive.

I've got Vegas6 and it still doesn't seem to find the QT7 (or vice versa), but
it
does have some mp4/AAC options, but I haven't tested them on
a video ipod as yet. I suspect they are PSP compatible.

Tried re-installing QT over and over again and I still had no luck. So
I assume that maybe my QT is too new for my Sony Vegas? (It's a
version 5, I'm using QT7) Thus the instability and weirdness?

Going to get Vegas 6 to see whether this is still happening.

... or maybe my comp is just messed up.

[videoblogging] AHA! NOW I MIGHT know why MP4 remains elusive.

2005-12-27 Thread Edmund Yeo
Things had been pretty insane lately. Despite being able to use Sony
Vegas to render my latest video into a .mov file last night for my
latest a

it just didn't work today. Sony Vegas told me that I didn't have
Quicktime installed properly, and all of a sudden, I couldn't render
.mov files AT ALL.

Tried re-installing QT over and over again and I still had no luck. So

I don't understand what's wrong here. You have Premiere Pro and
Vegas. I'm assuming you have the free quicktime installed - that's
how you made a .mov file.
Okay - .mov can have any one of a jillion codecs in it. MPEG4 is one
 choice.
Check out the tutorials on Freevlog:

These should do it unless you want you file to be compatible with the
iPod. For that you'll need QT Pro so that you can access the AAC
audio codec that the iPod requires.
