My old Sony MiniDV cam died. I replaced it with a Panasonic that can
shoot in 16:9. Any views on the best way to shoot in 16:9 then
compress for vlogging? I currently do duel pass compression with 3ivx.
I did notice that the image darkened a bit when I resized in with
quicktime player to get the widescreen effect (720x480 to 875x480).
Also, when I tried to compress the 875x480 file to 437x240 - 3ivx
didn't generate an image, just black. This whole pixel shape thing is
a bit daunting. So, if anybody has already invented this wheel I
would be great to hear about it. Thanks.
