   Hi -

I'm creating a vlog, with content hosted by Blip. I'm building the site
 myself in Dreamweaver,
and just need a way to have viewers post comments. I've looked at
 wordpress and blogspot
 - but don't want to use them. Just really need a way to enable posting of
 comments.

What's the best way to do this?

 Many thanks - Daniel

Uhm... you need to build a database-driven backend to your website. The
database needs lots of juicy fields for the comments, the commenter, URL,
etc. And then you have to make it dynamically work. This stuff isn't
something that Dreamweaver can do (just mentioning this because you might or
might not know this stuff - not sure).

Or, you can use blogging software like wordpress or blogger (there are a
host of other tools)... CMS's are another, similar way to go.

The comment thing sounds simple - but it's really quite complicated...

Just sayin!

I remember a couple years ago people using Haloscan to add comments to
their website. I know there must be some kind of service you could
find to turn an HTML site into a blog-like structure.
