Re: [videoblogging] Editing question...ugly moving text objects and frame rate?
You may also want to try 'deinterlacing' your final project. It may help, but YMMV.- joshOn Aug 10, 2005, at 4:04 PM, Jan wrote: This is exactly the place to ask, Devlon :) First, tell us everything you've done, including the software compression settings you used (all the natty little details), and then whoever has expertise in those things can knowledgeably answer. I have noticed that sometimes if I have text (title frame) or picture-in-picture motion (one clip moving, resizing to give that picture-in-picture effect) and it's going too fast, that I get this 'liney' look to it. The text (for example) will look as though it is broken up into lines, the edges are 'edgy', overall it's not very smooth. A good example is the ending bits to my "white guy eats foreign foods" vlogs (http://whiteguyforeignfoods.blogspot.com) ...or the credits at the end of the santa clip on "byte me" (http://8bitme.blogspot.com/2005/08/santa-on-vacation.html) I suspect it's is because the rate of motion is not right for the frame rate? I am a total newbie when it comes to editing, etc. I'd like to know what's going on so I can fix this. -- ~Devlon http://8bitme.blogspot.com http://whiteguyforeignfoods.blogspot.com http://devlon.blogspot.comSPONSORED LINKS Individual Fireant Explains YAHOO! Thanks Jan, I will have to make a similar situation when I get home to know those nasty little details since I used to muck with the compression, etc. so many times I can't really remember what I may have done in each case.
