WHAT IS "C-SPAN StudentCam"?
C-SPAN StudentCam is an annual documentary competition that encourages
students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities
and our nation. http://www.studentcam.org/

StudentCam is open to all middle school students (grades 6-8) and high
school students (grades 9-12) in the United States as individuals, or
teams of students. Teams are limited to 3 students. The competition is
also open to international students and there will be one $500 prize
for the best international entry. Videos must be the original work of
students, however, teachers may provide guidance and critiques. 

Topic:
What is the most urgent issue for the new president to address after
taking office, and why?

Students are asked to create a short (between 5 and 8 minutes) video
documentary that explores an issue of national significance that they
believe is in need of urgent attention from the new president of the
United States.

Your documentary should include more than one point of view. YOU MUST
USE C-SPAN PROGRAMMING TO ENHANCE YOUR DOCUMENTARY. Videos that do not
use C-SPAN programming will be disqualified.
