Re: [videoblogging] Slashdot on videoblogging again

The headline is Why Video Blogs Will Suck, but the original story is
actually more focused on the fact that talking heads are boring. Interesting
read, as well as the sesame street story mentioned by one of the slashdot
crowd. At least to me, being far from a media creator.
The comments to this story are the usual so-so with a few highlights.

i think someone posted this article serveral weeks ago.
talking heads on TV/web can be dull...depedns what the person is
saying and your relationship to the person.
remember that (though possible) videolbogs are usally made for people
who know the person creating it.
the audience is alread sold.

i found the comments on this slashdot quite positive for videoblogging.
everyone understands that videoblogigng is just like text blogging.
lots of bad text blogs that no one wants to vsiits.
some are incredible and visited daily.
why would videoblogs be different?

i remember when Weagal made this video.
Slashdot had just torn videoblogging a new asshole, and we(as always)
were incredibly sensitive to it.
no one likes to hear that what they do is stupid.

Nothing like some good fodder for some good rants.

Everyone... let's have some fun... vlog your rant, blog it... screen
cast it... whatever you like. It's all meaningless anyway... right?
Why hold back?

Peace,

Mike
