[Videolib] PS: Help identifying an older title on FGM

I left out a key element…. The professor says the film was made by Germans in
the 1930s or 1940s

Thanx again

2016-04-01 Thread Deg Farrelly
A faculty member is seeking a video she used to use many years ago.

It is a video on female genital mutilation, also called female circumcision or
infibulation.

She remembers it as being a German film showing scene after scene of the
operation…

I think it might be one of these (since we had them all on VHS when she taught
at ASU’s West campus.

I’ve asked her to confirm that none of these are the film she seeks.

But just in case, do any other titles come to the collective mind?

This is not about finding newer titles, only about identifying an older title.

Wow, Randy, that was deep. (hahaha)

Lisa, you think your fines are high?

At Indiana University Bloomington, our reserve fine is $25 per day.

However, we take measures to adjust the due-date in case the instructor has a
need to show the reserved film in class.

We fine $5 for first night overdue; $1/day for next 6. On day 7, automatically
billed for default replacement cost ($200) + $10 processing. When returned
after that point, the $200 goes away and they owe $20 ($10 fee + $10 fine).
The $200 charge blocks library account.
(Fines apply only to students, faculty aren't charged).

Northeastern's rates are here:
What if an item is returned late?

There is a 3-day grace period before fines are charged on all Snell Library

Snell Stacks, Media, BLC, and Hub Items $.25 per day ($10 maximum)
Reserves$1.00 per hour ($25 maximum)
