I totally agree with this. Friday will be hell downtown.
Not to be picky but its McCormick not McMormick.

Subject: [Videolib] ATTN ANYONE GOING TO ALA THIS FRIDAY!

The City of Chicago has announced it will holding a parade for the Championship
Blackhawks that will end at Grant Park in the South loop and start at the
United Center West of the loop. Bottom line getting to McMormick place is going
to be VERY ugly as hundreds of thousands of people maybe more will be going
into and leaving downtown Chicago. There is a commuter train from downtown to
McCormick, the Metra which many of the revelers will take but you will likely
be reverse commuting. I suspect this is the best option provided you leave for
McMormick before I would guess 2PM. Coming back from McCormick should not be an
issue on the train ( Metra) I would avoid cars and buses.
Those going to VRT dinner should try walking from their hotel or possibly a
subway. It will be a madhouse.
If you are flying in on Friday I strongly advice you to take blue line subway
to downtown and if you must go to McCormick walk over to Millennium park Metra
strop (literally two blocks) Just stay off the roads and use trains. Again you
will be reverse commuting ( going out before or during parade and returning
after from a station that no one but ALA people will be at)
Anyone in Chicago can feel free to add details and correct this

Thanks I was kind of spelling it different ways. I HATE THAT PLACE. Worst
convention center in the US and totally isolated.

I will spend Friday hiding in Lincoln Park at mom's house.
