Hello Gary, I receive news from the listserve but for some reason I can't be part of the conversation. Everytime I try to reply, no one gets my reply. Can you please look into that for me. Right now there is are interesting film suggestions for Haiti film series that Blain wants to do in SF as Haitin-American filmmaker I would love to jump into the conversation but I can't. I see that peole are coming up with titles but non of them beside Man by the Shore is made by a Haitian or Haitian-American filmmaker, I wonder why. The results of the 108 Study group (and orphan works legislation) have convinced me that working with what we have may be our best option. The Librarian of Congress hasn't even agreed to changing DMCA circumvention prohibitions...unlikely LC is gonna go to the mat for such radical copyright changes...too much big money in the other camp. gary I'm not so sure it's such a lost cause.
