[Videolib] multi-region players

2012-02-02 Thread Rosen, Rhonda J.
We are looking to purchase a blu-ray multi-region player for our student
assistants to check new dvds...
I see one by Oppo - but never heard of this brand...

Anyone got a good one they can recommend?
Thanks,
Rhonda
VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues
relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control,
preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and
related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective
working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication
between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and
distributors.

Dear Rhonda,

The Oppo is a high-end player and though it has to be configured by other
companies for multi-system use, it's by far the best performing player on
the market. I have the BDP-83 model and like it very much.
