Re: [Videolib] I have an American Studies prof looking for pre-1970s TV and/or radio cooking shows (excluding Julia Child)
I think the GG is around on ebay and other resale venues http://www.nicedvder.com/2649_The-Galloping-Gourmet-DVD-box-set-ENGLISH-VERSION.html gary Does anyone know if any of the older shows such as the Galloping Gourmet or James Beard's I Love to Eat ever made it onto video in any form? Perhaps a nostalgia collection of vintage TV. -- Chris Lewis Media Librarian American University Library 202.885.3257 For latest Media Services News visit our blog at http://aulibmedia.blogspot.com or on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/American-University-Library-Media-Services/132559226823103 Please think twice before printing this e-mail. um actually that is an Asian bootlegger. Nice looking site but check the pricing. I don't think the entire Criterion Collection just dropped to $10 a pop. I am not clear if GG was ever legally released but the copy on that site is not legit. A little more googling and it is clear the TV show was never legally released anywhere in the world as far as I can tell. There is multi-volume DVD set from a few eBay sellers, but that is not the TV show, but some later project by the GG On Wed, Aug 17, 2011 at 11:29 AM, Jessica Rosner jessicapros...@gmail.comwrote: um actually that is an Asian bootlegger.
