Does anyone know how I can turn up the sound on my IPad without voiceover's volume being affected too (e.g. when watching videos etc)?
Hi all I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. I was just wondering if there was a way of adjusting the balance of sound between voiceover and whatever else I may be listening to/watching on my IPad? For example, if I want to listen to music, watch videos, or clips on YouTube etc I turn the sound up on my IPad so I can hear whatever it is. However, this then also means that voiceover is extremely loud too, which I don't need. So is there a way of me being able to listen to things on my IPad and turn the sound up without voiceover's volume being raised as well? Any suggestions muchh appreciated. Thanks. Re: Does anyone know how I can turn up the sound on my IPad without voiceover's volume being affected too (e.g. when watching videos etc)?
You can use the volume adjustment on the roter to turn down VO to the level you like. This will adjust VO without changing the volume of other audio like music or video or whatever. Re: Does anyone know how I can turn up the sound on my IPad without voiceover's volume being affected too (e.g. when watching videos etc)?
Hi if you go to settings, sounds, and turn off change with buttons, this should allow you to adjust the volume of music etc without affecting voiceover volume. You could also use the rotor to adjust voiceover volume while listening to media files. Hi I don't use it yet and will stress why in a moment. Suffice to say it allows you to share information with devices nearby. Now here's why I don't use it. Currently only one device supports Airdrop, the iPad Mini 2. But this month I will be upgrading my iPhone from a 4s to a 5s. Re: are ipads mono sound devices?
still, how much sound quality are you expecting from such a small, thin device? You can't get around the physics involved - you need to vibrate large amounts of air that then make your ear drums vibrate accordingly. So, try plugging in some decent external speakers. Re: Chess-Wise online question and some help, please.
That's unfortunate. If your friend could speak English, Hadley offer a great free course that teaches the rules, notation, some basic tactics and strategy, and even include an accessible chess set. Perhaps you can take the course and teach your friend? http://www.hadley.edu/ShowCourseDetail.asp?courseid=CRE-091 Otherwise, it's up to your friend to find someone who speaks the same language and perhaps sit down over an actual physical chess board to learn how to play. Re: Air drop
From the Apple web site: With AirDrop, you can share photos, videos, websites, locations, and more with people nearby with an Apple device. What you need To share content with AirDrop, both people need one of these devices using iOS 7 or later, or a Mac with OS X Yosemite: iPhone 5 or later iPad (4th generation) or later iPad mini iPod touch (5th generation or later) You also need to turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. RE: Ear pods
Hi, I ordered the individual who needed a set directly from the Apple store today. They were $29 plus tax. Since we live in Florida I guess that would be 7% sales tax. They said free shipping and would probably arrive tomorrow. I ordered them directly from my iPhone 5S and the information was already stored on the Apple site except for my three digit security code. The only thing that bothered me about the whole process is that I have tossed away several sets of these over the ears because no one in the house ever used them or intended to use them. Re: Does anyone know how I can turn up the sound on my IPad without voiceover's volume being affected too (e.g. when watching videos etc)?
You can do this two ways, by turning down the volume of voice over, or by turning up your sound volume which does not include voice over. To adjust your sound volume, go to the control center and swipe until you come to the volume setting. To adjust the voice over volume, you must first add the volume choice to your rotor. This can be done in settings, general, accessibility, voice over, rotor. Once this is done, you can just turn your rotor to volume and flick up or down to adjust the voice over volume. Re: are ipads mono sound devices?
Some good Bluetooth earphones can be a great tool as well. I have the Plantronics backbeat fit, and can walk all over my 832 sq. foot apartment, leaving my iPhone in one place. Some good Bluetooth speakers might be a solution as well. Egun On, Lagunak! Re: are ipads mono sound devices?
Many people get confused by the side of an iPad. There are what feels like two speaker grills of only one is the speaker. The other is the microphone. Full audio stereo can be gotten via the ear phone jack. After double tapping share contact, you will find several choices. The two easiest are by text message or by Email.
