Re: Vo sluggish after tvos update?

2016-09-25 Thread Shai
Hello Jenifer,
No, I have not noticed VoiceOver to be sluggish after the TV OS
update; however, I have noticed that I am unable to press the info
button to get to the info tab either when a show is playing or when it
is paused. This is in the Netflix app on the Apple TV fourth
generation. I was able to do this when a show was paused in the
previous version of TV OS. What app are you attempting to play a show
in?

How on Earth can I get sticker packs for the Messages app?

2016-09-25 Thread englishrider91
As the subject says, how do I do this? I'm totally stumped by the Messages app
store" How the heck do I use it? It's confusing, and I think some stuff in
there isn't labeled. Seems like Apple dropped the ball on this one a bit. I've
heard that the pack for the new Mario game is accessible, as are the packs from
Icon Factory, the developers of Twitterrific. I'd really like to try stickers,
but I just can't figure things out. If anyone could give me instructions,
that'd be awesome!

Thanks,

Re: What I've discovered so far regarding how long the Woopower blue tooth speaker's battery lasts.

2016-09-25 Thread Richard Turner

One other thing the guide says is that the battery life will last less the
louder you listen.
I ran it with bluetooth yesterday for over 8 hours. So I think you can count on
6 or more depending on usage and volume.
Since the phones don't last much more than that in constant use, that isn't
bad, especially for the price.

I also tried

1. Restart the Voiceover

None of them fixed the issue.

Richard, thanks for the reply.

Mine is also set to automatic for call audio routing.

For audio setting under Voiceover, I have

Use sound effects: on

Audio Ducking: on

Auto Select Speaker in Call: On

During call and using siri, everything goes to the Bluetooth headset.

However, Voiceover output won't go to the Bluetooth when I'm not on a
call or not using Siri.

The same bluetooth headset worked perfectly on IOS 9.

Any other thing I should check?

Hi,

Since updating to IOS 10, I'm having a problem using a Bluetooth
headset with Voiceover.
ON IOS9, every time the headset is connected, the Voiceover output
always went through the headset.
However, on IOS10, most of the time, Voiceover stays on the Phone
speaker after the Bluetooth is connected. Once in a while it will go
to the headset, but it's very rare.
Phone call and Siri always go through the headset though. When Siri
is done speaking, Voiceover will go back to Phone speaker.

Does anyone have suggestion how I can fix this?
I updated to 10.0.2, and it's the same.
Thanks!

Re: Looking for Watch apps!

2016-09-25 Thread Shaf Patel
WristWeb allows you to browse the web from your wrist. It's perfectly
accessible using compressed page view.
You can still use Carrot Weather without the subscription, I think it
just gives you some extra complication features.
Hope that helps!

also, you can rewind and fast forward with the earphones.
Triple click the play button on your earphones to rewind and double click it to
fast forward. It will move according to your navigation settings in VDR.
I just tested it to make sure.

hi Robert,
You are welcome. Not long after I posted the file, I finally found that you

so I added that as the last page of the guide, giving you credit.
I appreciate the extra info you had given as it made learning the device easier.
I'm liking it so far.

Also how big is this speaker to where on your wrist?
I mean is it about the size of A grist watch or A bit bigger?
Also how long does A charge last on this unit?

RE: Looking for Watch apps!

2016-09-25 Thread Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.
Hi Shaf,

Can you tell me a bit more about what you like with Wrist Web and Carrot
Weather, and how fully VO accessible they are?
I note from the App Store entries that Wrist Web is $10 and thatCarrot Weather
has to be purchased and then for full AppleWatch utility, an annual
subscription is required.

I'd love to know more about these before purchasing.

Many thanks in advance, Keith

Just Press Record is fantastic. Although I wish they'd provide an option to
store recordings locally instead of the cloud.
Uber is great when it wants to work. I find that if you haven't launched the
app in a few hours the watch app requires you to do so in order to work.
I recommend Workflow, MacID, Lyft (if you're in the US), WristWeb, Cheatsheet
and Carrot Weather.

Re: Moving Apps in IOS 10 Question

2016-09-25 Thread Mary Otten
Hi Mickey,
You have a couple of options, well actually three. You can still move things
out of a folder in the traditional way with double tap hold and slide your
finger. Using the new way, instead of using the home button to close the
folder, which also ends remove operation, you can use the iOS "scrub gesture"
to close the folder, then proceed with the move process in the normal new way.
You can also find an extra item in the action menu within the folder, once you
have selected the object you want to move. If you flip down, you should see an
option that says something like drop application, where application is the
title of the one you're moving, out of folder. I haven't actually done it that
way, but if you double tap that I assume that lets you proceed in the new way
as well. Hope that helps.

How do you move an app from inside a folder I don't see a way to do it except

Any suggestions?

Richard, thanks for the reply.

Mine is also set to automatic for call audio routing.

For audio setting under Voiceover, I have

Use sound effects: on

Audio Ducking: on

Auto Select Speaker in Call: On

During call and using siri, everything goes to the Bluetooth headset.

However, Voiceover output won't go to the Bluetooth when I'm not on a call or
not using Siri.

The same bluetooth headset worked perfectly on IOS 9.

Any other thing I should check?

The other choices are Bluetooth and speaker.

Also, check the audio setting within the VoiceOver settings. Some
combination of those may be the issue.

  Hi,

Since updating to IOS 10, I'm having a problem using a Bluetooth headset with
Voiceover.
ON IOS9, every time the headset is connected, the Voiceover output always
went through the headset.
However, on IOS10, most of the time, Voiceover stays on the Phone speaker
after the Bluetooth is connected. Once in a while it will go to the headset,
but it's very rare.
Phone call and Siri always go through the headset though. When Siri is done
speaking, Voiceover will go back to Phone speaker.
Does anyone have suggestion how I can fix this?
I updated to 10.0.2, and it's the same.
  Thanks!

Hi Richard have you used this speaker during A phone call?
If so how does the person on the other end sound to you and when you talk
back to them how does it sound to them when you are talking to them on
it?

Also is this the only place you can get this speaker is from amazon?
Also how big is this speaker to where on your wrist?
I mean is it about the size of A grist watch or A bit bigger?
Also how long does A charge last on this unit?

For those who want the guide in word format, I scanned it today and my wife
edited it.

I put it on my Dropbox. You can get it here:

I’m impressed with this device, especially for the price.

Re: Apple watch

2016-09-25 Thread Paul Hunt
Hello Jeremy. I love my Apple watch and use it all the time. It is the coolest
and unnecessary device that I've ever owned. For this reason I would replace
the watch when I could no longer update the Watch OS.
