Re: Changing Credit Card Information

2020-06-27 Thread Esther
Oops@ I forgot to notify all of you, but Apple Accessibility was their usual
stellar self! Apparently, I had to delete my credit card, then reinstall it
again and everything worked like a charm. It had something to do with my
entering my security code wrong. Sorry I didn't inform all of you of my
results, but I can now add music and do whatever else needs to be done. Take
care.

So Esther, don't leave those of us who have been following this thread hanging.
Did Apple Accessibility help you edit the information on your existing card or
did you have to delete it and reenter the updated card as Arnold suggested?

Hi, Everyone,

Maybe I'm getting old, but I recently received new credit card info with a pin
and all. I've been able to make purchases at store locations, but I'm having
difficulty adding it to my ID information. The last time I did this was four
years ago, and I thought I was doing it correctly, but it keeps giving me Apple
Pay instead of my card. Should I delete the whole thing and start over, or
perhaps you might have better suggestions.

Thanks very much.

Re: Favorites on the Spectrum TV App

2020-06-27 Thread Andy Baracco
Actually, I figured it out. Under settings there is a Favorites button which
allows you to select your favorite channels. Then on the home screen after
launching the app, there is a button called Filter by, where you can choose
which channels you want displayed when the app opens. One of the choices is
Favorite Channels only.

Carolyn, you're thinking of Susan Bennet, The american siri voice is no
longer Susan Bennet, for ever since we got our iPhones a little over 2 years
ago. Well at least when we got our phones the siri voice was the different
voice. I've read the wikipedia page about siri, but I don't remember now if
it said who does the siri voice after Susan. I like this other Siri voice,
it's so pleasant sounding, and Susan's voice is great too. So maybe anyone
that's had an iPhone longer than 2 years could tell us when they ended using
Susan's voice for Siri, and when the new voice began.

Siri is a voice from someone, I think named Susan something, that Apple got
her to record stuff and stuff and more stuff, and all kind of stuff for them
to program.

I do not know if the other voices are synthetic, but I think they are. If
so, they are very good, as is TalkBack - better than JAWS, and 1,000% better
than Ivona on the Victor Reader Stream that I detest and can hardly
understand.

Carolyn, you're thinking of Susan Bennet, The american siri voice is no longer
Susan Bennet, for ever since we got our iPhones a little over 2 years ago. Well
at least when we got our phones the siri voice was the different voice. I've
read the wikipedia page about siri, but I don't remember now if it said who
does the siri voice after Susan. I like this other Siri voice, it's so pleasant
sounding, and Susan's voice is great too. So maybe anyone that's had an iPhone
longer than 2 years could tell us when they ended using Susan's voice for Siri,
and when the new voice began.

Siri is a voice from someone, I think named Susan something, that Apple got
her to record stuff and stuff and more stuff, and all kind of stuff for them
to program.

I do not know if the other voices are synthetic, but I think they are. If
so, they are very good, as is TalkBack - better than JAWS, and 1,000% better
than Ivona on the Victor Reader Stream that I detest and can hardly
understand.

Talkback is the most common Android one; Voice Assist is one for Samsung. I
haven't heard it. I can take JAWS way better than the Ivona voices.

I like Siri and Samantha, so haven't tried any of the other ones for my
iPhone. I've heard Douglas Walker's male voices on his phone on the Hadley
videos, and they don't appeal to me. It is better though, that we have the
choices to make.

I meant touch the status bar with one finger, double tap, and now focus will be
at the top of the screen.
Just move down to the main screen, and you are where you want to be.
Works everywhere, not just in email.

Han on,

Are you about sirii or voiceover?

They are two different thinsers.

Siri is who you say hey siri, what is the weather today

And she will hopefully reply.

So if it’s voiceover you’re spin ers twice quickly on the screen to see if vo
has been muted.

Dependin t hand side in and ask the question after it beeps at you.

Hope this helps.

Try asking Siri something with a long answer like what is the 10 day forecast,
and then start tapping the up volume button.

Siri normally remembers whatever volume it was left at.

I also turn off the change with buttons option in sounds so I don’t
accidentally silence VoiceOver or Siri.

Hi,

Siri has stopped talking. For example, when I ask Siri to spell a word I get
silence. I can use finger gestures to spell out the word, but until a couple
days ago Siri would automatically sell it out. Siri is just as silent when I
ask something else.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

How Do You Get Back to First Email?

2020-06-27 Thread Shirley Baker
Let's say you have read 100 email messages. What's the quickest way to get back
to the first one on your iPhone? Do you need to get out of your inbox and go
back into it to do this?

Hi, Yes, the 6s cases, will fit the new iPhone SE2020. But that is only in
size alone.

But the cutout for the camera, will be out of line.

You need a case that says, for the new SE2020, and the iPhone 8. and i think
for the iPhone 7.

The 6s cases, will only be OK, for the iPhone 6.

Dave.

Even my iPhone 6S case fit my new SE. I was rather surprised, as I didn't
realize that the 6S was the same size, but it is.

In preparing myself for when Telcel (my carrier) restocks the iPHones SE 2nd
Generation, my sister (who got herself an SE2020 last month), has been
looking online to get herself and me, a case; however she says that cases
for iPHones SE2020 aren’t available yet here in Mexico! So between an iPHone
7 or 8 case, which would be the nearest in terms of camera and other
controls, that would fit a new sE? Thanks for info.

Re: Changing Credit Card Information

2020-06-27 Thread Arnold Schmidt
There are two places where credit card information is entered, wallet for apple
pay, and itunes and app store for those two. And, I think I remember that yes,
you have to delete and reinstall the information, rather than just being able
to edit it.

RE: Siri not talking

2020-06-27 Thread Simon A Fogarty

Any ideas?

Thanks.
