Is there a way to transfer all my texts from my iPhone to my Windows 10 PC?

2021-01-22 Thread Kevin Minor
Hi.

This will give you an idea about how much email I have to go through, but over
2 years ago I got a message that mentioned a program that lets you transfer
texts from an iPhone to the computer. The link in that message no longer works.
What's something that will do what I want?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Louie Voice Control: An App for Visually Impaired

2021-01-22 Thread PRAMIT BHARGAVA
Dear Richard and All,

Apologies for not stating Android Only in the subject line!

Adding below the difference between Voice Control and Louie

There are significant differences with Voice Control.

a. Voice control is essentially designed for sighted, motor disabled people.

b. Voice control does not take human-like voice commands as in Louie but
the user has to speak out the specific button or earlier a number on screen.

c. Let me illustrate the difference between Louie and voice control with a
conceptual example

Let's say a user needs a glass of water. In case of Louie the user just
needs to say get me a glass of water and Louie will be able to perform the
task. In contrast to get the same result from voice control, a user has to
give voice control a number of voice commands as illustrated below:

Get up from chair
Stand straight
Move left foot forward
move right foot forward and so on

Also, Louie can do each and everything within a supported app with just
voice commands and with continuous 2 way voice interaction with the user.

Kind Regards,
Pramit

RE: New AirPods Pro

2021-01-22 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Not really,

They have little speakers that sit sort of between your ear and temple and the
sound is directed down in to the ear from the frame of the glasses,

You can say they are similar but the sound is not through vibration of the
bones in your cheaks etc,
It’s actual speakers in the glasses arms and although against the skin they
direct down,

Sort of hard to explain,

It would be something to trial if you had a store that had a demo of the frames
on display,

Our JB HiFi and Harvy Norman have them here on display.

Simon,
Are the bose frames bone conduction? My friend has the Trekz titanium That’s
why I was planning to get them.

Maria,

Before looking at the after shockz
Look at the bose frames and see what you think,

As for the after shockz,
Look at the aero pex and that’s not the correct spelling,

Eyah the pros are nice, but I don’t personally think they are worth the larger
price,

But hey there really isn’t anything to compare them against in the same genre
except may be the power beats pro, which don’t have wifi charging ability.

Good luck.

Well if that’s the case, I may end up getting the original Pros.
I already have the standard AirPods and looking to upgrade because the noise
cancelation and transparency features sound really cool.
As for headphones for GPS apps I will probably get the Aftershokz Treks
Titanium .

Hi Maria,

There has been a rumour re new pods for a year or so now,

The idea was to release a airpods without the noise cancelation features and
transparency but in the pro format.

So just a standard airpods but in new pro shape

As for if / when, only apple wil be able to tell you that and that wont be
likely.

As for the pro, nice but is there a reason why you would go the pro pods and
not just the standard ones?

I have both and I really don’t get the use out of the pros as much as I
probably should and the sound quality to me is pretty much as good with the
standards
However each to their own, I tend now to use my bose frames a lot more while
walking / traveling around.

So I am planning to get the AirPods Pro but I heard a rumor that Apple will
come out with a new version, and I can’t decide whether to see if they come out
with them or get the current AirPods Pro. Do you think Apple will raise the
price like they always do with new products?

RE: What's New in iOS 14: A Guide for Blind Users

2021-01-22 Thread CJ & AA MAY
What I would prefer, however Malcolm, is to order a braille copy as I prefer
using braille for manuals as the information stays in my head better. Also it
means I don’t need to sit in front of my computer whilst trying out the various
new features. There may be an additional cost for sending braille overseas. I
suppose I won’t know if I don’t ask!

Looking at the site you can order the book in Word format as well as DAISY and
electronic Braille so I would think it can be ordered internationally.
