QWERTY command to show/hide keyboard

2021-10-16 Thread Richard Turner
Someone on this list, I think, gave a command using the FN key with one of the
F-keys to toggle show/hide keyboard with a Plantronics keyboard.
I cannot find that message.

Was I dreaming that command?

This keyboard does not have a designated key for that.

Thanks,

Richard

Alan,

Right, it is a limited adjustment; but the only one I can find that even comes
close.

I think that first tone may not have a separate control.

Perhaps asking Accessibility?

Check the settings under VoiceOver, Audio, Sounds and Haptecs.

You can have the sounds match the voice volume or not, then adjust the volume
for the sounds, and you can also adjust the haptec intensity.

I do not think there are any other settings to deal with this.

Linda,

I love my Libre 2 and appreciate all the info I got from this list.

My recommendation is to download the Libre 2 app and create an account even
before you get the unit.

Personally I don't use the reader as it is totally inaccessible for a totally
blind person. The app is great and easy to use.

Hi Paula,

It sends information to braille as alerts, so go to Braille in VoiceOVer

Hi Paula,

If you turned it off, that is the problem. Fortunately, once you reinstall, it
works well with speech. It's more annoying with braille but at least is still
usable.

2021-10-16 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Paula,

If you turned it off, that is the problem. Fortunately, once you reinstall, it
works well with speech. It's more annoying with braille but at least is still
usable.

Best,
Anna

Hi Paula,

If you try these suggestions and still can't flick through options, delete 7
LIttle Words, and then reinstall it. You should then be asked if you want to
keep using text-to-speech. Once you choose Yes, you should be all set.

Best,

Hi 7 little words players.  I’m trying to play 7 little words on
my iphone 13 mini.  I open the app and it says to turn direct
touch on.  I used the rotor with my braille display and made sure
direct touch is on.  I can’t make it do anything else.  It’s just
stuck on “direct touch area.  Use the rotor to enable direct
touch for this app.”  I can’t make it do anything else.  WHAT A
PAIN!  Would love to get back to playing but can’t.  I know this
problem has been discussed but I can’t find any helpful
information.  I don’t think I deleted it, but one never knows.

Sometimes I think these phones have a mind of their own.

Re: Can I enhance the volume/haptic feedback of initial chirp when doing Home/App switcher gesture?

2021-10-16 Thread Richard Turner
Check the settings under VoiceOver, Audio, Sounds and Haptecs.
You can have the sounds match the voice volume or not, then adjust the volume
for the sounds, and you can also adjust the haptec intensity.
I do not think there are any other settings to deal with this.

Can I enhance the volume/haptic feedback of initial chirp when doing Home/App switcher gesture?

RE: still more 7 little words questions

2021-10-16 Thread Paula Jordan
Thanks for the info, but it doesn’t seem to work. When I touch the screen there
is silence when I flick either right or left or up or down. If I wait long
enough it just goes back to saying “direct touch. It bums me out because I do
enjoy the game.

Thanks for any help.

Hi

There are several instances in which you will have to touch the device screen
to proceed with game play & this is one of those instances. Just touch the
screen of your device & swipe to the section to select game play.

Hi 7 little words players. I’m trying to play 7 little words on my iphone 13
mini. I open the app and it says to turn direct touch on. I used the rotor
with my braille display and made sure direct touch is on. I can’t make it do
anything else. It’s just stuck on “direct touch area. Use the rotor to enable
direct touch for this app.” I can’t make it do anything else. WHAT A PAIN!
Would love to get back to playing but can’t. I know this problem has been
discussed but I can’t find any helpful information. I don’t think I deleted
it, but one never knows.

Sometimes I think these phones have a mind of their own.

God bless!

Libre Freestyle 2

2021-10-16 Thread Lynda Ingraham
Good morning everyone,

I just found out they are going to put the libre freestyle to monitor on me for
two weeks. Which apps do I need to download so that both I can read the
information and the doctor will be able to get the information?

And I forgot what people had said about the transmitter or receiver. I want to
be able to be sure that I can read what’s going on during that two weeks too.

If someone would be willing to help me out I’d appreciate it very much.

Thank you.
