Re: help with Kings corner app please

2022-08-09 Thread Richard Turner
The way you move the cards is to do a double tap and hold on the card and slide
it to where you want it.
VoiceOver will sleak the card you are putting it on.

Kings corner is a great app! They’re having some problems right now with the
very left hand card not always behaving itself. But it’s a wonderful app. I’ve
played it for years. All Kings go in the corners no matter when you get them
they’re placed in each corner The other cards go down red or black as she would
normally playing solitaire you are not playing the same suit in the corners as
you would for example you could have a king of hearts and he would put a queen
of spades on top of it and that way you can move all of the cards to the
corners you were also not trying to fill up all those kings as you would in
normal Solitaire. The goal of this game is to end up with no cards in your
hand. The person who does that first, is the winner. I love to play the
computer, and have it on the most difficult when I can. Sometimes, I’m
convinced that computer cheats. :-) Hope this helps.

I purchased the Kings corner app on the recommendation of several people from
this list. I have studied the rules and the gameplay in Wikipedia.
I am at a total loss on how to play the game within the app. Can someone please

Thanks for being willing to try the NFL's version. My feeling is it should be
accessible to all.

Sure, I'll give it a try on Thursday night. I've subscribed to NFL Game Pass in
the past, so I might not be eligible for a free trial. Since I have another
alternative, I also may not try as hard as I would if I thought it were my only
option. Also, and this goes without saying, but others can give the free trial
a spin as well.

Finally, even though someone like Richard spoon fed me the link and information
I needed to sign up for Sirius XM, I still signed up for the wrong package. I
got the Music and Entertainment package instead of the Platinum package. I used
their customer service bot to get it all straightened out, and that was a great
experience. Not only was the support staff quick, knowledgeable and friendly,
but the bot itself was very accessible. Now that I've got the right package,
it's all working great! Thanks for all of the tips and advice on this topic on
this list!

Yes, it's my understanding that you don't have the ability to listen to a game
that's already been played. I did take advantage of this a few times when I was
able to use the NFL app. As I've said before, just because we have an
alternative, and just because I've decided to take advantage of that
alternative, doesn't mean the NFL isn't still on the hook to make their apps
and services accessible. The fact that they offer features that you don't get
in other packages is a good reason this is the case.

I do not see anything about archived games on SiriusXM.
Here is an article about the NFL and SiriusXM updated agreement as of July 26,
2022.
Link to the source is at the end.

The NFL & SiriusXM expand agreement: Find out what you’ll hear July 26, 2022

League game across North America as the NFL and SiriusXM announced the
extension of their broadcasting and marketing agreement for another five years.
SiriusXM and the NFL have been teaming up to deliver fans NFL games and
exclusive content since 2004, and SiriusXM subscribers will continue to get
access to every NFL game live through Super Bowl LXI in 2027 on SiriusXM radio
and on the SXM App, as well as SiriusXM NFL Radio (Ch. 88), SiriusXM’s 24/7
radio channel dedicated entirely to the NFL.

daily programming lineup features shows hosted by NFL experts and interviews
with players, coaches and executives from around the league, live coverage of

owners’ meetings and more.

32 NFL Team Channels
The SXM App offers 32 NFL team channels, each dedicated to carrying the

available in vehicles equipped with SiriusXM 360L radios.
Hear additional team-focused content from NFL clubs — including coaches shows,

Hi Lisa,

When you send the file by Airdrop, the recipient gets a link they can use to
download it. Since the link is to a video, it may be that they can view it on
their phone without downloading; I’m not sure. The link is good for 30 days.

I hope that helps.

Best,
Anna

You can also look for it in the App Library, which is after your last home
screen. You can search for it in there or sort your apps alphabetically.
Probably not as easy as using Siri, but if you want to move it somewhere else,
this is where you can do it from.

Adrian, Ask Siri to open it for you and see if she will unless she says there
is no app or whatever she says. If she cannot find it then that means you might
Have, by mistake, gotten rid of it.

Re: From Mark to the List, Just a General Apple Accessibility Gravity Check-in

2022-08-09 Thread Donna Casteen
Lisa, This is not true. The Amazon Alexa app can do Everything that an Alexa
device can do. I have an old iPhone, which has no cellular service. The phone
is connected to wifi only. I/we use the app ONLY to control smart lights & our
Ring security camera. The Only thing that I do Not use the app for is adding
items into my shopping cart & placing orders. I even make wifi calls using the
app. A stand alone Amazon Alexa device is not necessary.

You can order with the app, but be very careful that it is adding the
 correct item to your cart.
Also, be careful when using your phone with the app listening or a
device listening, because if it hears your phone say something like,
I can add the roborock vacuum to your cart; you may find that item is
 now in your cart.
It took a bit of work to get it out of the cart.

Using Mail Drop

2022-08-09 Thread Lisa Belville

Hi, all.

I'm trying to send a 135 MB attachment to someone with an android
phone.  They don't do Drop box or any other sharing service.  If I use
mail drop and it's in iCloud, can they view the video?  I thought a link
was emailed to me that I could send.  Is this how mail drop works or do
I have it all wrong?

Question about deleting text messages

2022-08-09 Thread Rena
Hello,

Sometime ago I found something that said to keep messages forever, delete
after a month and some another option that I don't remember. I clicked on
deleting after a month, but it seems that I didn't succeeded.

I don't remember where I found these options, if I opened settings, or it
was in the same messages app.

I have iPhone SE 20 fully updated.

Would anyone please remind me about that?

Rena

Re: From Mark to the List, Just a General Apple Accessibility Gravity Check-in

2022-08-09 Thread Lisa Belville

Hi, Carolyn.

If you just want to order and browse Amazon the app is fine.  If you
want to use smart lights and switches and such, you'll need Alexa.

Hope this clears things up.

I have the amazon shopping app on my iPhone. You don't need the Alexa
app to do that.

You can order with the app, but be very careful that it is adding the
correct item to your cart.
Also, be careful when using your phone with the app listening or a
device listening, because if it hears your phone say something like,
I can add the roborock vacuum to your cart; you may find that item is
now in your cart.
It took a bit of work to get it out of the cart.

search answers to questions, get the current/daily weather forecast etc.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to check in with everyone and wish you all a happy
Apple accessibility summer. I cannot believe that August 2022 is
already underway.

You know, it's kind of funny, I use my Apple devices more and more
and yet I have less and less to say about them as they continue to
get better and better. (smile)

A few things that I have been intending to post but have not:

1.
In addition to my wired EarPods, I now use both AirPods, third gen,
and Airpods Pro, on a regular basis. While I would have to say
that my Airpods Pro offer better sound quality, I like the Airpods
third gen, because they offer an easier / lighter listening
experience. I know

Re: Libre 2 and iPhone 12 mini phone cannot activate sensor

2022-08-09 Thread Lynda Ingraham
Hi Bill,

Thank you very much for the input. I have to tell you, we had switch to
spectrum for our mobile services. In terms of customer service, it has been
nothing less than a disaster. We are going out of town on Thursday, I asked if
they could expedite a replacement phone. I offered to pay the additional
shipping, no we can’t do that. I had to argue with them to have the $50
restocking fee removed for a defective phone. Not necessarily spectrum‘s fault,
online and in the store they have very little stock. I’ve spent hours on the
phone trying to get everything set up so that when I go in the store to pick up
a replacement phone we’re not there for hours. I get to the store everything
that I discussed with Spectrum Mobile on the phone there is nothing in the
file. My husband says he owes me for the running that I’ve been doing in the
effort that I put into setting up this phone. I have been on the phone
constantly with spectrum Apple and Abbott Laboratories.

I’ll let you guys know how this all works out. I was so disgusted I just
decided to go with the iPhone promax 13. That’s the model I have and I know
that it works with Libre 2.

For those interested, Libre has come out with I believe they’re calling at the
Libre three. The sensors are about the size of a penny. Much much smaller.

Thank you to everyone that has offered suggestions.

Have a great day,

Lynda

SiriusXM NFL Radio

daily programming lineup features shows hosted by NFL experts and interviews
with players, coaches and executives from around the league, live coverage of

owners’ meetings and more.

32 NFL Team Channels
The SXM App offers 32 NFL team channels, each dedicated to carrying the
official radio broadcast for each NFL team, making it easy for fans to find and
listen to their favorite team’s announcers for every game. Starting this
season, each team channel on the SXM App will now also feature the team’s pre-
