your other devices. The chips in credit cards are using NFC, as are a lot of 
the entrance badges used to provide access to buildings. Bluetooth, works up to

Moore homePod issues, can’t hand off from my phone

So now I also can’t hand off to my HomePods from the phone. Yes the same 
Netwerk is being used. I got some stupid thing about how more than one device 
is playing music and shouldn’t I upgrade to a family plan. No, I shouldn’t. 
There weren’t any other devices playing music. I have tried unplugging and 
reconnecting the HomePods to absolutely no avail. These are really good 
speakers with really crappy shaky flaky implementation of pretty much 
everything except the annoying Siri which promises things and then doesn’t do 
them.

which are open to all phones, one of the free kits from NaviLens called and ear 
schools and the other one is called associations. The other form of labels 
which are open to anyone with a NaviLens app or not Navi lens go, other public 
tags available in public places such as train stations bus stops et cetera, 
this can be read by anybody with the app. so, the personal kit, which number 
501 labels, a specific to your phone can be shared with up to 5 other users, or 
the public labels either from the kids or from institutions that have installed 
NaviLens, are readable by everybody.

There is one major problem with WayAround and NaviLens. Neither can be read by 
the general public since the information on NaviLens resides on your phone and 
WayAround charges a monthly fee to be accessed by the general public and 
WayAround also control the content and updates.

I just downloaded NFC manager which looks fairly accessible. I can create an 
NFC tag I buy from Amazon, attach it ]anywhere and anyone with an NFC reader, 
which comes with a smart phone, can read it. I wish I could use the WayAround 
tags for general use but they are copy protected. Don’t try to write on them 
with anything other than the Way/around app because you will render them 
unusable. I would know; I tried it out on one.  Any other suggestions for an 
accessible, generic NFC tag reader/writer?

to do so manually, power off your iPhone, wait maybe 15 or 20 seconds and turn 
it back on.
Yes, I know that after an update the iPhone restarts, but I can't even count 
the number of times when another reboot will fix some strange issue.

I am not great with the iPad either.  I have a mini, so not quite as much real 
estate as the big ones.  I mostly use it for reading Audible books.

 

I have added the “Containers” action to the rotor and I find it helpful.  For 
example when in Settings, if I double tap on Bluetooth, I can then go to 
Containers on the rotor and flick down once and get right to the Bluetooth 
heading.

 

You might give that a try.

Hi,

I bought a used iPad recently.  It’s primary use so far is for  my son to play 
Minecraft, but I won’t tell him that. It’s set up under my Apple ID  and I’m 
slowly setting it up to be a backup to my iPhone for some  things like reading 
audio books.  I’m definitely finding it harder to adjust to the layout than I 
thought. It came with some widgets on the home screen that I have never used on 
my phone and I still need to get a sense of how I want to organize it, given 
the larger real estate.  It also took me a bit to get used to Settings, were 
the menu is on the left and the options are on the right; that seems to mean 
the flicking left and right isn’t as reliable, as I have to get focus in the 
right place first. 

 

Probably the biggest surprise is how different the keyboard is.  It took me a 
long time to find an exclamation point for a password I have.  I’m really 
surprised that the number and symbols keyboards don’t mirror the iPhone – or 
maybe it’s that I always use my iPhone in portrait mode and the landscape 
keyboard would be more  similar to the iPad.   I’m also finding it tricky to 
use control panel as I seem to get it open, then somehow touch the wrong place 
and close it.  Does control panel not fill the whole screen like it does on the 
iPhone?  Why did I just think it was a larger version of my phone?

 

Anyway, just looking for other advice on adjusting or switching between the 
two. My ego has taken a hit with this thing.

Dictating, sorry about that… I am running the latest 16.3 on an iPhone 14 pro 
and it keeps saying logo other. i've taken a look in settings, it doesn't seem 
to be VoiceOver is version of saying actions which I have said to sound, I 
really don't know what this means when it says logo other I have tried flicking 
up and down but it is not an action option. does anyone know what it is and how 
I can get rid of it, it's driving me mad!
