RE: Adjusting the length of time before my iPhone screen locks

2024-01-15 Thread Katrina Anderson
Hi Debbie,

Try the below steps.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Swipe right to select and double tap on “Display and Brightness.”
3. Swipe right to select “Auto Lock.” You should hear something about how
this option is configured (e.g. I hear “Auto Lock Never,” because I prefer that
option. If you want to change the setting, double tap, and swipe through the
options, double tapping to select what you want.
4. Use the Back Scrub gesture, or click on Back, to exit this setting,
etc.

RE: Rain Gauge

2024-01-15 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
If you get the Netatmo weather station and buy the bundle with rain gauge then
yes, you can see how much it is raining (mm per hour) and how much it rained in
total.
The only thing which is not accessible is the history, e.g. if you want to see
how much it rained and you can’t or forget to check just before midnight it
will reset to 0 and while I believe the historical information is available in
some sort of graph, it is not accessible.

RE: Hard drive or SD card access via an iPhone?

Makes no difference if it’s an iPhone 15 or not, if it’s a phone with Lightning
port you just have to get the correct adapter or card reader.

If you’re using an iPhone 15 series then the following will allow you to do
what you want.

Apple USB-C Digital AV Multi-port Adaptor - White (Latest Model)

Given the changes to use the USB c for the iPhone 15, you will want to cdouble
check what is available. Perhaps calling Apple.

Open your conversation, double tape on the phone number on wright top. Flic
wright until info and double tape. Flic right again until create new contact!
The new contact file will open and your phone number will be already written.

Re: How can i add a email adress to my contacts from a i message

2024-01-15 Thread Kelly Pierce
This is easy but not simple. You need to copy the address to your
pasteboard in iOS. Then open up the contacts app and paste the
address into the new e-mail field on a contact. If you do not know
how to copy text in iOS, you will need to learn this skill as well as
copying and pasting information to and from the pasteboard.

Re: Hard drive or SD card access via an iPhone?

2024-01-15 Thread Richard Turner
Yes, there are adapters for sd cards and there are adapters with a USB a port
that have a place for the charger for the iPhone so your iPhone is on AC power
and if the hard Drive has its own power, you can connect it through the USB
port and r,∀ it. It will likely not be a very fast connection, but should work.
Given the changes to use the USB c for the iPhone 15, you will want to cdouble
check what is available. Perhaps calling Apple.

Re: Hard drive or SD card access via an iPhone?

2024-01-15 Thread Jonathan Cohn
I believe you can do this fairly with the iPhone 15 since it uses USB-C.
I understand there is a camera kit for Lightning based iPhones that allows one
access to usb based storage, but i don’t know if that provides all the services
you need.

Spotify and jam sessions

2024-01-15 Thread Star Gazer
My kid and I like to do listen to things on Spotify using their
jam session feature. When I invite her, I can’t get off the invite friends to
jam screen try as I might. I use VoiceOver. My kid doesn’t. She does a gesture
to get off the screen and the gesture she does does not work with VoiceOver.
What does? This matters because if I can get off that screen, I can see what’s
up next in our queue or reorder it or leave the jam, a button not just closing
up the app.
Any ideas? Point being, I want the same features she’s got and want to know how
to swipe off the invite screen.
Thank you

Think Up app question

2024-01-15 Thread Beth G
Hi,

Does anyone use the ThinkUp app for affirmations?
I am having difficulty navigating the screen to record more than one
affirmation given some buttons are unlabeled, and when I record a second
affirmation, the text of affirmation is not the same as the one I think I am
recording.

It’s a really neat app if you like affirmations and want to record them in your
own voice to playback. However, I am experiencing some Accessibility challenges
and was wondering if anyone else out there has tried it.

Thank you,

Beth
