Re: QRCodes scanner
Hello, Try QR Reader for iPhone The developer is TapMedia ltd It is a free app and will scan qr codes once the camera is aimed at code. In the app's settings, you can enable confirmation before opening links. Re: Update hider
Hey thanks for this. I finally jail broke for the same reasons. For me, it has been small tweeks like this that make me wish I had jailbroken my device long ago. Sent from my iPhone On Jun 6, 2012, at 11:35 PM, Raul A. Gallegos r...@raulgallegos.com wrote: Hey all. I came across a tweak earlier which I really like. It's called update hider. This is useful in situations where you have an app which you don't want to update. So, let's say that the App store shows you 5 updates and you want to update all of them in one shot, but the problem is, that one specific app you don't want updating keeps you from using the update all feature. Maybe thee is one app you don't want updated because you know the newer version doesn't have as good accessibility as the current version. With update hider, you can add the name of the app you don't want automatically updated and it's filtered out. This means you can successfully do an update all apps and all apps except the ones you put in the exception list will update. Now that I got everyone interested in this great new tweak, I'm gonna do the car salesman line and tell you the cost of this app. It's totally free, but you have to jailbreak in order to use it since it's a jailbreak tweak. It's for tweaks like this that I'm glad I jailbroke my phone. It's things like this that Apple should have included in the iOS. Because let's face it, not everyone wants to always update apps just because. Take care all. -- Raul A. Re: Watch for This Possible Bug
Hello I noticed this behavior as well. It has only occurred once that I can be absolutely sure of. Thanks and I will also pay close attention. Twice now, I have been reading an E-mail on my IPhone 4S with the new IOS and a phrase has repeated itself. This last time was just now in Raul's note regarding moving items on the dock and the repeated phrase was that following the link he gave. The other was in a note from Nancy re: Digit-Eyes, but I cannot confirm the repeat was after a link or date, etc. I hit delete before it occurred to me. I will definitely be paying closer attention and acting before reacting, but maybe others will see the same thing. Re: iOS 5.1.1 is out Voiceover going silent bug
I have been experiencing the same loss of speech. Initially, I was using speech at 100 percent. The same thought occurred to me so I reduced my speech rate to sixty percent. Sixty percent didn't solve the issue so I tried fifty percent and have continued to encounter the problem. I went as far as reseting my phone and maintaining speech rate of sixty percent. For me, the issue has persisted. Just reference, I am using an iPhone 4 and have experienced this loss of speech since 5.01 Sent from my iPhone On May 9, 2012, at 10:11 AM, Neil Barnfather - TalkNav for...@talknav.com wrote: Chris, In fact the only thing I see that you all have in common, that is, those of you who have this Voice Over stop speaking bug, is that your synth speed is set very fast. The only way to test if a lower speed fixes it, is to reduce your speed. I do not have the issue, never have and I have owned all three versions of the iPad, and have owned an iPhone 3GS, 4 and now the 4S. So that's 6 iOS devices, and never had the issue, but, I have my speech rate set to just 40%. Does anyone with the speech stopping issue, have their synth rate set at a more moderate level say, 60% or less? If we can find a user who has their synth speed at 60% or less, who has the issue, then I'll begin to consider it being a different cause of this issue, but, the more I talk to folk about this, the more those who suffer it seem to have in common. That is, a tendency to be running your Voice Over synth up at 90% - 100%. I personally have my speech rate set to one hundred percent. I think I would go crazy trying to use my phone at half that speed for any length of time. Maybe someone can go ahead and give it a try and see if that's really a contributor, but I doubt it since so many of us have experienced this particular bug under all sorts of circumstances and situations across various iPhone and iPad models. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Neil Barnfather - TalkNav Sent: Tuesday, May 08, 2012 9:51 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: iOS 5.1.1 is out even if you clear the app switcher regularly, do you power cycle daily, I mean turn it off and back on again?
