Re: Family Sharing with Voice Dream Subscription

I usually don’t send these kind of messages to a list but I would like to know
the same thing. I did subscribe also to the $59 plan.

Subject: Family Sharing with Voice Dream Subscription

Greetings:
This is not to debate the new subscription plan. This is a question regarding
Family Sharing on the iPhone. And I am going to email support as soon as I send
this message.
Last evening I subscribed to the annual plan $59.95 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I
have Family Sharing turned on and my wife and I both have sharing enabled. We
share the 2TB plan with Apple. But we have not been able to see third party
apps such as VDR or the other apps that I am supposed to have available for
family sharing.

According to my settings I have all the boxes checked. My wife has sharing
enabled as well. I am wondering if there is something we are missing?
Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure where the volume control is on these. I have been using my phone’s

We just bought the TOA-70 combination by Cuisinart. It has turning dials and
buttons. It is very retro looking like something from the sixties and is very
accessible. We had it marked with dymotape by a friend but my wife says she
could use it unmarked. It does everything—bake, convect, air fry, toast and
grill.

Hello,

I have been using one of the Cosori Smart air fryers for a couple of years now.
They work with Alexa, but also have an app that for the most part works well
on my phone. For a while with the app you still had to actually press the
start button on the fryer . but honestly I use Alexa the majority of the time
or the Alexa app on my phone. The app that actually is used is: Vesync.

The model which I had recently went through a recall, but they replaced the
unit, so all is good now ..

Hi, is there air fryers that are accessible that allow you to use an app to
control them? Has anyone done a demo on them? Yes I would want it accessible
with voiceover.

do I do the same with the keyboard? I haven't been able to figure that out.
Thanks. There are no function keys on this keyboard, the other question is
how to I disable the trackpad?

I am strongly considering it. However, the minimum on dash pass is $12, whereas
the minimum on Eats Pass is $15. Since I am working from home and my husband is
not, a lot of times, I am ordering just for myself and that three dollars can
make a significant difference, believe it or not. I am going to hang out as
long as I can. Most definitely, the app is becoming more and more inaccessible.

Hi.
Yes I have noticed this. My work-around? Go into my orders tab. Double-tap on
the "view restaurant" button for the order I am looking for. Don't use the
feature to quickly add previous items you may have ordered. I usually will
swipe up with three fingers to get past that part. Then I can go through the
menu to add what I want... whether it was ordered before or not.
I hope this helps.

I just talked to somebody at Apple Accessibility, and he does think that it
might be some kind of problem with image description. When I shared the screen
and showed him examples of what it is doing, he said that yes, it was trying to
describe an image that was there. Turning on image recognition gave a better
description of the image, but turning it off, as it were, didn't turn it
completely off. He is going to talk to somebody about it, being that he was
able to duplicate the problem on his device, and will allegedly get back to me
on Thursday, early evening. He said that the others who are experiencing this
should report it to them, being that the more complaints they have about a
given issue might make it seem more important.

Hi Deb,

No on the back of the case that the pods pro come in,
that’s the wireless charging case,

if you flick the lid of the case open,
approx. half a centimeter below the lid on the back panel, you should be able
to feel a button that is very slight but if you pres you will feel it.

The little things on the pods are not what you are looking for.

And no you shouldn’t have to reset your network settings,
Just forget the pods and then start again to pair them.

Good luck.

Hi,

Same thing,

On the back of the pro case is a button you can press to reconnect your airpods
pro.

Also have you rebooted your phone since having this issue occur?

Subject: Cannot connect Airpods or Airpods Pro

I have both Airpods and Airpods Pro.
The other day I was using my Airpods Pro and they suddenly disconnected. I
could not get them to reconnect.
So following various online advice, I told the phone to forget this device, and
I restarted the phone.
I then discovered that my original Airpods also don’t connect. I can connect
them both to my old Ipad running iOS 12 so it’s probably not the pods.
But when I try to reconnect them the phone says they’re not my airpods. Things
I read online says this is because they haven’t been forgotten. But they don’t
appear so no way to forget them again.
I try pressing the button on the back of the Airpods to no avail. I can’t
figure out what to press on the Pros because I never had to do that in the
first place.
My phone is an 8+ so I know it’s older, but things were all fine.
All of my other Bluetooth devices that are not the airpods of either kind are
connected and working fine.
Why not the airpods?
I tried to call Apple aCcessiblity and waited on the phone more than two hours
before giving up.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Good luck.

If you are on the computer and your phone rings, you just slide the switch
from USB to BT.
A little heads up, the dongle can be stored inside the cover on the left

Here are some really good instruction I got from Mike B:

Device selection switch, located at the rear of the right ear piece.
When you have the headset on, the device selection switch on the right ear
can be slid to its bottom setting for off, the middle setting for Bluetooth,
and the top setting for RF with the dongle / receiver plugged into the computer.

Volume up, located at 12:00 on the face of the right ear piece.

Volume down, located at 6:00 on the face of the right ear piece.

Microphone mute, located at 9:00 on the face of the right ear piece.
The mute button mutes all sound input to the headset when playing music.
The mute button mutes the boom microphone when on the phone.

Play/pause or Answer call/end call, located at 3:00 on the face of the
right ear piece.

Next track/Fast Forward, located at the bottom of the right ear piece
between the USB port and the power/device selection switch.
Press the button down towards the charging port for, Next Track / Fast
Forward.

Previous track/Rewind, located at the bottom of the right ear piece between
the USB port and the power/device selection switch.
Press the button up towards the device selection switch for, Previous Track
/ Rewind.

The left ear piece has two small tactile dots on it. If you turn the cover
until the two dots are lined up, the cover will come off and inside there is
the battery, which can be replaced by someone with jeweler tools; and a spot to
store the RF dongle when not in use with the computer.

I think you will find it will be fixed in iOS 13.3.
At least, it works in the beta.

That has to be a MisTake, as I believe ALL of
Apple's NEW iPhones come with a Pair of Wired
Lightning Ear Buds in the Box & that includes
the following: the iPhone11 & iPhone11PRO MAX & the iPhone11PRO

at least 22 hours charge time

RE: outlook365 questions.

2019-10-17 Thread Viola
Did you know that alt-left and right arrow takes you from one place to another
in your history? I didn’t know that. Since I am moving between folders a lot in
different accounts, that’s very simple and direct. Of course if I deviate it
will take me somewhere else. 

Do you have any idea why I can’t use my arrows and hear the previous text? I
can in every other window but outlook and chrome. Is it the html?

Hi,

As a work-around for this, you can set up an activity that sets punctuation to
None when you run BARD Mobile. Then the spaces won't be spoken.

Best,

Hi,

I just updated my 6S phone to IOS 13 then updated all the apps. I have now
noticed that in the BARD app, VoiceOver says “space” after any button I press.
This is even true if I am playing and pausing from the button on my Bluetooth
earphones. I don’t recall this from before. Anyone else noticing this?

HI,
In my opinion, the implementation of the vertical scroll bar is great! There
are many occasions where I use it to scroll through pages to find what I am
looking for rather than having to scroll up/ down with three fingers.

Re: Dice World

2019-10-09 Thread viola
hello,

I also have a question, I really don’t like this new layout much, because I
can’t find the scores at the bottom of your top row and bottom row so I can
keep track of what the score should be. So on the lower level or the upper
level at a certain point I can’t see the score. I also didn’t like the losing
game sound. I had to turn it off.

Hi,

The vertical scroll bar goes along the right edge of your device. It tells

screen. flick down to move down 10%. Or you can move more quickly by doing
a double-tap and hold, then sliding your finger up or down.

hi,

You have to make sure that description is on under settings general

if you’re trying it on your computer, I’m not really sure it just worked on my

Re: An audio description question

2019-09-17 Thread viola
hi everyone, also, we discovered, that you can watch it on your computer as
well and there’s audio description if you watch it on the computer. Which we
don’t see so it doesn’t matter to us so it was great to have the speakers of my
computer and watch it out loud.

I don’t usually reply to these messages. However! I feel very strongly about
this. My husband and I wanted to listen to this last night and we did without
the video description but you are absolutely correct we wanted to know who it
was that was speaking at the time and to get some of the information about the
background scenes. It looks like it’s going to be a great wonderful excellent
Ken Burns special.

Re: Looking For an app

2019-08-25 Thread Viola
then I’m very glad my old money reader still works.

Subject: Re: Looking For an app

Cara Quinn, the owner of this list and who I believe was one of the developers
of the original Looktel Money Reader, posted a message a few weeks ago
apologizing for the time it has been unavailable and stating it will be back in
a short time.
Well, it is still not back under any name. She also mentioned VO Tutorial, one
of their other apps, which is also still not available.
I wrote her directly about this well over a week ago and have heard nothing.
I can only speculate that they are having difficulties and we will just have to
be patient.
I plan to check about once a week until I hear something definite.
