iPhone 5 Tutorial

2012-10-11 Thread William F. Gallik
Several weeks ago I am certain I saw an announcement somewhere about a
recorded tutorial for the iPhone 5. This tutorial offered a basic layout of
the iPhone screen and how to maneuver with VO enabled.

Can anybody refresh my memory as to the specifics of this tutorial?

Well, guess Raul's post and subsequently visited web site has answered my 4
questions quite adequately.

Thanks Raul!

Re: Otterbox defender case and iPhone 5

2012-10-04 Thread William F. Gallik
H, how appropriate. I just happen to be looking for a protective case
for my iPhone 5. But beyond requiring an "engineering degree" to place the
iPhone in the case, I have a couple of other questions:

1) What are the remarkable or special features of this case?
2) How much does this case cost?
3) Where can the Otterbox Defender be purchased?
4) If the case must be shipped, how long does it take to get it in your hot
little hands?

And, oh yeah, BTW Lisa; thanks for the engineering lesson! ;-)

Re: Seeking Advice on Digit-Eyes

2012-10-04 Thread William F. Gallik
I want to thank all who replied to my request for advice on Digit-Eyes. For
a mere $20, I believe it's worth the "risk" to install this ap on my new
iPhone. It's certainly more affordable than several other bar code readers
available in excess of $1000.

Obviously, it was my intention all along to look into Digit-Eyes despite the
advice from my noteworthy techie. I had listened to an TechTalk demo given
by Rick Harmon where he discussed several bar scanning products with a main
focus on Digit-Eyes. He also provided a fairly detailed overview on
locating the UPC on several different types of products. But before forging
ahead, I did want to get a "feel of the product" from a broader pool of
opinions.

The comments offered here have convinced me that difficulties with
Digit-Eyes is probably an individual matter and many folks have no such
difficulties. Again, thank all of you for your obviously sincere replies.

Sincerely

Seeking Advice on Digit-Eyes

2012-10-04 Thread William F. Gallik
I finally joined modern society and ordered an iPhone 5 with a main
objective of using Digit-Eyes. I was advised by a noteworthy techie that
Digit-Eyes is not quite the panacea I may have thought it was. He
suggested that the frustrations of trying to locate the UPC makes the
product pretty much useless.

I should also say that I listened to one of the audio demonstrations
presented by a gentleman (his name escapes me at the moment) who stressed
the potential frustrations of trying to locate the UPCs. But his ultimate
recommendation was that the efficacy is worth the effort.

The advice I seek is whether or not others can recommend using Digit-Eyes or
not?

Thanks!
