Shazam

2024-02-10 Thread upliftfm
Hi

I tried out this app on my iphone. It's great at identifying songs. I have
one query though. If I turn on a radio app and then load in Shazam I cannot
easily find the Shazam button to press and hold it to go into automatic mode
because the music is too loud for voice over. Is there a way to have the
music turned down when listening to Voice over, even if only for a few
seconds.

Thanks

Gordon McFarlane

Apple's Shazam can now identify songs playing inside other iPhone and iPad apps
even while you're wearing headphones

Apple's Shazam is now better than ever.

Shazam has long been the go-to app for people who want to know what song
they're listening to but now it's better than ever thanks to a new version 17.3
update.

The new update, which is now available for download via the App Store, adds
support for identifying songs from other apps while you're listening via
headphones for the very first time.

The new feature comes after Shazam was already able to identify songs from
within other apps, but it was previously only able to do so while there were no
headphones connected, limiting the usability somewhat. With Shazam 17.3, that
has now changed.

Music to your ears
The new update, which can be downloaded for free now, works with both wired and
Bluetooth headphones and earbuds which means AirPods, AirPods Max, and
third-party options are all good to go. The lack of a requirement for Apple
accessories is something that is definitely worth noting here.
"You can now identify music while wearing headphones (wired or Bluetooth)," the
app's release notes explain. "Simply open the app, check for the headphone icon
to confirm your headphones are connected, and then start recognizing music
around you or within apps like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube."

Apple bought Shazam back in 2017 and has been steadily integrating it with iOS
and its other software for years. The app offers multiple widgets for quick
music identification and more, but the ability to identify music from within
another app is a huge boon for people who hear a song in an ad or video and
want to be able to find out what it was.

that's playing
•Shazam now puts your song history in Control Center even if you
used Siri

RE: Keyboards for iPhone.

2017-08-03 Thread upliftfm
Hi
I've just purchased the IClever foldable keyboard and it's good. It pairs well,
has no lag that I can see. It's easy to use and is about £15 at present on
sale. No numpad. Folds to small. Comes with pouch. The backlit version is twice
the price and does not last long battery wise.

it's not small, but i like the matias bluetooth keyboard. It is a full size
keyboard, including numpad. It does not fold. It looks a lot like the Apple
keyboard. It can pair to 4 devices.

The

Remote Control Of PC From Iphone Using A Blue Tooth Keyboard

2017-08-02 Thread upliftfm
Hi

Can anyone suggest an accessible Iphone App to control a remote PC with an
Iphone using a blue tooth keyboard?

I've tried the Microsoft Remote App and it seems to connect and speak the
screen of the remotePC well. I can't however seem to use a blue tooth
keyboard with it.

I've also purchased Jump Desktop Iphone App. Once again it connects fine to
the remote PC but there's no sound feedback from the screen. In this case
the Bluetooth keyboard works but there's no sound of Jaws or NVDA relayed
from the remote PC

Ideally if someone knows how to get one of the above working I'd be glad to
know how. Alternatively any app which will fit the bill would be
appreciated.

Thanks.
