Carolyn: Going to settings and then control center will only let you set
options and customize the control center; you can't actually get to it that
way. To access it, you would have to use the 3 finger swipe down from the
status bar, or the VoiceOver gesture for phones without a Home button where you
swipe down from the top of the screen. The control center is the second
vibration. This is only for newer devices.

Hi,
Enable assistive touch. It’s a Icón that will appear on screen. Explore by
dragging to locate once enabled. This feature will help you. Go to settings,
accessibility, touch, assitive touch and enable then locate icon and double tap.

interesting you say that. It occurred to me to try that after I sent my last
reply. It worked. Also a bit more on the keyboard issue. Originally, I thought
I could only delete messages to which I had responded by closing and reopening
the messages app. Seems that’s not the case. While the screen does jump away
from the delete and cancel buttons, you can get back to those buttons by using
the right arrow key. I think I may be sending apple another screenshot.

Hi,
Enable assistive touch. It’s a Icón that will appear on screen. Explore by
dragging to locate once enabled. This feature will help you. Go to settings,
accessibility, touch, assitive touch and enable then locate icon and double tap.
