You can get the beta here http://beta.apple.com you must sign in and enrol your device(s) before you can install the beta. Note this is a public, not a developer, beta which the latter requires a paid developer account. The public beta program however is free to anyone with an Apple ID. > On 21 Sep 2015, at 04:10, Jenifer Barrwrote: > > When will the beta come out? Also... In the currently released version of iOS 9.0, VoiceOver, instead of announcing the number of messages in the thread, merely says, "Multiple messages in thread." Before people get their panties in a bunch, let me tell you why I sent that message. People would be wasting apples time reporting something that is fixed and 9.1. Nothing more, nothing less. Now we can go back to our regularly scheduled nitpicking. If, like me, you would like to once again hear the specific number of messages in a collapsed message thread, please join me in submitting a feedback request to Apple. The following is a feedback request I just submitted to Apple. Feel free to use any or all of it in your submissions. Thank you, Mark [Begin Feedback] TITLE: Request to Have VoiceOver Once Again Announce the Number of Messages in a collapsed Email Message Thread DESCRIPTION: In iOS 8.x and earlier, VoiceOver would announce the actual number of messages in a collapsed email message thread. In the currently released version of iOS 9.0, VoiceOver, instead of announcing the number of messages in the thread, merely says, "Multiple messages in thread." The number of messages in a thread is important because said number may indicate how important or urgent the thread is to the user. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: To reproduce this issue: 1. From the LaunchPad, select Settings. 2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars. 3. Set Preview to None. 4. Set "Organize by Thread" to, "ON". 5. Launch the native iOS 9.0 Mail app. 6. In the Messages Table, place VoiceOver focus on a message thread containing multiple messages. EXPECTED RESULTS: I expect VoiceOver to announce the actual number of messages in the thread. ACTUAL RESULTS: VoiceOver says, "Multiple messages in thread." [End Feedback] -- The following information is important for all members of the VIPhone list. No John, I'm not the Apple police. I'm just following list policy. If you don't like that, then take it up with Mark or Cara. And This policy states that there will be no disclosure of beta software. Hi, I think it's great if people write in about this.
