Re: A weird issue with Facebook
Hi, I rarely use the Facebook app on my iPhone but I do on my Windows 7 laptop. I am constantly getting emails from Facebook that I have new notifications. I will log-on to the web site and, lo and behold, there are no new notifications. Unsubscribing from getting the emails is the only permanent solution I can come up with. Frankly, I think Facebook does this to encourage you to log on and view their ads which is how Facebook makes money. For me, this has been going on for a long time. I wish I had a solution for you. Good luck, Dan -- From: "Terri Stimmel" Sent: Friday, July 01, 2016 11:14 PM To: "Viphone" Subject: A weird issue with Facebook Hello everybody, I have had a weird problem with Facebook, all day! I don't know what to do about it. I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled it. I was thinking this would fix the issue. But it did not. For some reason, I am told I have notifications. But when I go to the notifications area, all I see is the heading for notifications, but nothing else is there. It just shows me message friends newsfeed, and such things as that. Is anyone else having the same issue? Is this a Facebook app issue? Or is it something with my phone? I don't know what to think. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue? It is very annoying! I think I am one of the rare people, who prefer to use Facebook on the iPhone, instead of a computer. Give me, for the most part, it is much easier. Except when you are writing an email with your keyboard, and you hit enter, sending the message before you were actually done. Re: A weird issue with Facebook
I am not having this problem on my iPhone 6. I have seen this problem though. The problem is the notifications aren't being loaded. In my previous experience with this I reset my network settings & this solved my problem. If you don't want to go to that extreme try turning off wifi then turning it back on. Re: A weird issue with Facebook
Hi Terri, Unfortunately, I am also having the same problem! Only difference is, I've been having it for quite a while. Ugh! The only thing I can do is to put my finger on the screen beneath where it says notifications and it will get me in the right place. I can then continue using the keyboard if I want to, but haven't found a way to not have to pick up the phone and touch the screen when I need to access notifications. It's a royal pain in the you know where, but at least I can make it work. Hope this helps, and hope the problem itself goes away real soon for both of us!
