You can add a field to the 1Password item called “one-time password”. It will
scan your screen for the QR code to link them, or you can copy the image and
it’ll detect it that way.

After it’s set up, you can just copy the existing PIN and paste it into the
website. It’s super easy.

Can you explain how 1Password can doe 2FA? I thought you still have to use
something like Microsoft authenticator. I very recently started using 1Password
and signed up for the Starter for Teams account as this is also for my business
and several employees need to have access. I had been a Roboform user for a
very long time and I tried 1Password a few years ago and did not like it. This
was before Version 8, however, and so far it's a very different experience and
I am pretty sure I'll stick with it. I use it many times every day on my PC at
work, my laptop at home as well as on my iPhone. Exporting all my hundreds of
Roboform SafeNotes and Passcards and importing them into 1Password was quite
easy, but I have not yet figured out how to integrate 2-/Factor authentication
in a way where it is autonated. Of course there are ma ny websites I have to
use for my business and also sites I use privately where the 2FA happens by
sending a code in an email or text message or, in the case of my RBC bank
account, where simply a notification comes up on my iPhone and after
authenticating with Face Id I have to simply tap on "Allow".
But I have one login in particular for a government website where the 2FA code
is generated in the Microsoft Authenticator app and if I could somehow automate
this process it would make things a lot easier.

Subject: Accessibility of Authenticator Apps

We are using a website that allows us to enable two-factor authentication by
using either the Microsoft Authenticator app, the Google Authenticator app, or
the Authy app.

Does anyone have any experience with the above iPhone apps as far as
accessibility?

Thanks,
Pam

Re: Accessibility of Authenticator Apps

2024-02-18 Thread Jonathan Cohn
If you exclusively use Apple devices, you can even use the Apple password
manager / keychain for these authentications, then a simple arrow key will auto
fill the value on Mac and the same features used to save your password will be
used for the one time 6 digit code.
I’ve only done this once, and it involved bringing up the password tab in
Safari Preferences or the Passwords area of IOS settings.

I have used it as well. I also used Authy. The only small issue I can find is
that I can’t seem to figure out how to delete keys for companies no longer in
business. I usually use Microsoft if I can though.

RE: Accessibility of Authenticator Apps

2024-02-13 Thread chrisjudge1967
We use the Microsoft authenticator app at work. It’s accessible but the trouble
is you only get so much time to authenticate. Periodically when logging in to
our work accounts we’ll be presented with a two digit code that we need to type
in to the app. The PC cursor doesn’t always read this code so turning on the
jaws cursor is necessary. I’ve gotten to the point where I can get it most of
the time but it took practice.
