RE: Accessible App. Seven Words not so accessible now

2013-03-12 Thread Vicki Howell
Hello to all. I wanted to talk about seven words. When I first heard about
and downloaded the app, it was a very good game. Now, I don't understand
how to play it. The lines don't go the same way as it did before, which is
why I can't find the letters to put in the right order for the word, and
also, I bought the hints, and now when I try to restore purchases, it says
that the purchase that I want is not available now. Is anybody having
trouble with this game? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Peach,

This comment might help from a sighted player:

I have been looking for a good word ladder game and this one is good.
However, with one easy fix, it could be great. The word you're trying to
make is at the top of the page, ABOVE the word you are currently working
from. PLEASE switch the positions so that the game is viewed in true word
ladder progression. Other than that, very fun!

I have written them so we shall see. It might help if others right them too
and let them know that the Free Challenges could be made more VoiceOver
friendly if the word we are trying to reach could be spoken by VO. Their

HI. I'd be very much interested to see what they say. Hope this part of
the app can be made accessible. I would buy the full version if it could.

Once you set the word length, the difficulty and click on New Game, flick to
the right until you hear VoiceOver say The Current Word. Tap the letter you
want to change. Flick once more to hear the first letter of the word, which
will say Character 1 and what the letter is. Flick again to here character 2
and so on. Double tap on the character you want to change.

WordCord - a game of strategy and vocabulary.
WordCord is based on the classic Doublets game invented by Lewis Carroll.
The aim is simple, change one word into another, changing a letter at a time
- but each change must make a new word.
WordCord lets you play the original games set by Lewis Carroll in the 1870s
as well as an endless number of new games generated by WordCord itself.
The games have different word lengths and complexities, so it's easy to get
started (and to get hooked!). WordCord will even help you if you get stuck.
WordCord will let you celebrate your successes through email or Twitter!
WordCord Free allows you to sample the full WordCord game. WordCord Free
allows you to play 3 and 4 letter games.

Re: Accessible App. Seven Words not so accessible now

2013-03-12 Thread MamaPeach
I am very disappointed in 7 Little Words too. This game is very inaccessible
now. I wrote the developer about this but never heard anything back. Maybe if
more people contacted the developer and said that since the last few updates,
the game was very accessible, but now it can’t be used very well with
VoiceOver. They won’t do anything if they aren’t told.
