RE: Applewatch Activity app - how to get daily step count

2016-01-12 Thread Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.
Thanks, Ed.
It's the Activity app for me that's a bit fidgety when I try to get the steps
count and distance for the day. I like the access to this info on my watch, but
know I can get it on my phone if I need to. I'm holding off on Pedometer plus
plus for now, but may look at it in the near future.

Best, Keith

Hey Keith,

What issues are you having? Is it with Pedometer PlusPlus, or with the two
finger drag up on the first screen of the activity app on the Apple Watch?

If it is on the watch it is a little finicky for me as well. It seems to have
some trouble loading the steps, or even VoiceOver may skip over the step count
all together, an not really sure which. That is why I use the Pedometer
PlusPlus app as I can have the step count on the watch face.

I hope that this helps,

2016-01-12 Thread Nancy Badger
Hi everyone,
I may have figured out something about the activity app complication and the
issue of finding out how many steps you have walked. When you tap on the
complication, it does not bring up the entire app. Once you have the activity
summary open as your complication, you have to double tap on it in order to
open the entire activity app. Once you have the activity app opened, you can
swipe up with two fingers to see a page that lets you know how many calories
you have burned, how many steps you have walked, and your distance. Try it out
and see if I am correct. I am learning this as well so I could very easily be
wrong.

Hey Nancey,

That is pretty much it. It seems to me that there is a lot of extra tapping to
see the info. I wish that Apple would add a complication for there activity
apps step counter, or allow you to change what tracking info you would like on
the complication.

Re: Applewatch Activity app - how to get daily step count

2016-01-11 Thread Ed Worrell
No Problem.

The app developer is very good at answering any questions with the app, and
also works very hard to make sure that the app can be used by everyone.

Thanks for the tip about the app, Ed. I wasn’t necessarily having difficulty
getting to my step-count, but it would be really nice to have it available as a
watch complication.

Applewatch Activity app - how to get daily step count

2016-01-09 Thread Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.
Hi,

Before Watch OS2, iwas able to get a daily step count within the Activity app.
Since, I can't seem to get it. I can only get Moving, Exercising, and Standing.
I do get weekly step counts in the weekly summary.

Is it possible to get a daily step count report in the Activity app, and how?

Thanks in advance, Keith

Thanks very much. I didn't even know I had an Activity app on my phone.but
I found it as you described. For convenience, I would still like the step count
on my watch, but knowing it's on the phone, I'll be able to get it when I want
it. Thanks again, Keith

Like you, I do not see the step information in the activity app on my watch,
but it is in the Activity app on your phone. In the Activity app on your
phone, just touch at the bottom of the screen where the two tabs are. Then
swipe left, and it is the first information you will come to. So actually, it
is the last thing on that page of the activity app.

Remember, you can also get daily step information in the Health app on your
phone.

Hope this helps.

Re: Applewatch Activity app - how to get daily step count

2016-01-09 Thread Chris Chaffin

Like you, I do not see the step information in the activity app on my watch,
but it is in the Activity app on your phone. In the Activity app on your
phone, just touch at the bottom of the screen where the two tabs are. Then
swipe left, and it is the first information you will come to. So actually, it
is the last thing on that page of the activity app.

Remember, you can also get daily step information in the Health app on your
phone.

Hope this helps.
