Often, updates don’t show up automatically. You have to refresh the update screen to get the phone to show all available updates. Eventually it will show up automatically I’m sure, but if you do the three finger swipe down a few times until you hear “refreshing” it should be there. Yes, quite a few apps will get you to something like a context menu with a one finger double tap and hold or a three finger triple tap. Settings is another good example. If you tap on the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen, the first line will give you the version number. BARD stands for "Braille Audio Reading Downloads" which is part of the United States's Talking Book library program, part of the Library of Congress. The app used to browse and download onto the iPhone has been updated, thus the concept of BARD 2.0.
