RE: App for CPAP?
The app I have is made by ResMed and works with their sleep quality reporting system which links to my ResMed 10 series CPAP. There might be other apps, although I haven’t found them. RE: App for CPAP?
I have used distilled water from Walmart for years. There is a lot of stuff on the bottom of the water tank when the water evaporates. I figured it was dust being pulled through the air filter. I recently installed a reverse osmosis water filter. There is now much less residue left in the tank. Savings from not buying distilled water covers much of the cost of the filter and we use it for drinking, cooking, and making ice. You’re right. It is a pain to carry a full size CPAP while traveling. It’s medically necessary for many of us. There are small portable CPAP machines. I’ve tried one and had a bad experience. I do not recommend the unit I purchased. It is the Human Design Medical LLC Powershell Model HD60-7010. I paid around $600 for the unit. The unit was noisy. It sounded like a small vacuum cleaner. This summer the unit failed after several years of light use. The internal system battery discharged. The cost for replacement and service would be over $250. I dislike the device so much I won’t have it serviced. I will wrestle my full size unit through airports until I can find a decent portable. If you want a portable device for travel, choose carefully. Comments on a few questions in this thread. Not sure if my model is 10 or 11 but it can be remotely programmed. When I got my first CPAP over 20 years ago I had a very good tech. He brought me a few masks at a time to try. I tried nearly a dozen masks before I found a full face mask that works for me. At times my nasal passages close and I have to breathe through my mouth. Very few companies will do this much for you and I even had one company that refused to sell me a full face mask as being unsafe. I have gone without my CPAP for a night at times but I don’t get a good sleep and am tired the next couple of days. I now have an old machine that is past its service life but still works. I keep it and all of its parts in a carrying case along with water, battery packs, and any cables I might need on a trip. Just grab it and go, much easier than disassembling my main CPAP. I'm not sure which model I have, but the app cannot adjust the humidity settings. Hi I am not shure of any that have a app to work with them. The one that I have works by having buttons on the frunt of it. It has 3 different buttons one is a round one that terns it on and off and the others are 3 buttons along the boddem below that first button and the water go’s in at the top. I have the Resmed C-PAP machine and their app will give you the readings each morning, but you cannot make adjustments other than on the machine.
