Can Voice Dream Move Forward and Backward with the Earpod Remote?

2014-05-23 Thread Alan Lemly
I'm a huge fan of Voice Dream Reader and have been following the thread
about how it handles playback rewind and fast forward in response to the
AGOGO app discussion. I have been using my iPhone 5 for all my book reading
and really enjoy listening with it in my pocket where I can control playback
using the remote and volume buttons on my earpods. Does anyone know of a
workaround that allows rewind of Voice Dream playback using the remote
button? Unless I'm missing something, I can only move backward and forward
in Voice Dream using the gesture-based swipes to move the set increments. I
figured if another method was available, someone here would know about it.

Thanks in advance.

Alan Lemly

Re: Can Voice Dream Move Forward and Backward with the Earpod Remote?

2014-05-23 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hi Alan,

yes, the standard rewind and fast forward commands move by the increment you
select. So double-click the middle button to go forward your selected amount of
time, or triple-click to move back.

Best,
Anna

Re: Can Voice Dream Move Forward and Backward with the Earpod Remote?

2014-05-23 Thread Alex Hall
You should check the settings. Go into Settings from the main VDR screen and
find the remote option. You can set it to move by the selected increment, which
sounds like what you are after, or by article. Be sure the former is selected,
and it should work.
