You can also pick up the college basketball games with this app, provided they aren't playing football and basketball at the same time. Re: Really bad performance bike tune in on college football this evening
Hi Andy, No, I don’t think it’s my Wi-Fi set up. We also recently replaced our agent system with a new mesh system and new cable modem. Streaming has improved in measurably throughout the house. I also tried this on LTE as well as with Wi-Fi turned on. No different. And we do have a good LTE speed here. So I’m reasonably sure it’s not on my end. mary, We recently replaced our cable modem/router. With the old setup, just about every stream I would play would buffer and ultimately quit. With the new setup, all is good. Re: Really bad performance bike tune in on college football this evening
mary, college games are carried the same as always, not on premium, but on TuneIn free or Pro. I listened to about 10 minutes of Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Tulane Green Wave. It did not buffer at all. I then listened to some of Northwestern and Perdu, and it buffered, but that happened last year some times, but wasn't a big problem. I plan to listen to the Beavers and possibly the Ducks this Saturday, and see how it goes. RE: Really bad performance bike tune in on college football this evening
Mary and all, I encountered buffering issues with TuneIn last pro football season even with a premium subscription and for so-called higher-level games. I love hearing local broadcasters for my favorite team, but it did irk me that I was paying for service that could have been better. Although I haven't signed up yet this year for this reason, I probably will break down and do it because I'm such a fan. But I will hesitate long and hard before I do. Re: College football on youri-device
As is usual, SiriusXm is prevented by NCAA rules from streaming the college games. So, the only ones you'll see might be if they are carried by ESPN. You can stream pro games, though. I use OO-Tunes and do a search for the game I want like "Michigan State Football". This usually results in a stream link, which seems to work a lot better than trying to find over-the-air broadcast stations who often have their live-streams blocked. - Original Message - From: Mary Otten To: viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Saturday, September 05, 2015 8:58 PM Subject: College football on youri-device With all the talk of NFL, I'm curious about what people are doing this year for efficiently finding and receiving college games. On TuneIn, search for college football did turn up some games, and then it degenerated into a mess, with various conference names showing up, but double tapping on them did absolutely nothing. That’s not true, actually. I believe each university can make that choice to stream them online with Sirius or not. It might be fine with college football since they don't restrict broadcasts, but for NFL it has to try and find a team that is ignoring the broadcast restrictions so it will always be hit and miss for NFL games. But, I've not had any problems finding a college game on Tunein and the sound quality is always very good. Mary, that's one sport that radium doesn't cover. They do all of the pro games, but not college. I am using the XM radio service for that is I have a receiver. Re: College Football
No it has something to do with streaming as if you were listening on a regular radio it would not be delayed but for some reason all streaming audio has a delay. Thanks Andy. I actually think this All football Radio might just be a newer version of the apps that I already have as they look very similar as my strictly college football radio also has schedules and scores so it looks like the developer might have just finally combined both apps in to one and instead of being 99 cents it's now 1.99 for both. Glad to see the app is still around as besides the delay it is fantastic. The only other drawback and I haven't checked if it is still the same this year is I do not think you can listen to a game on 4G as at least last season you needed to be on Wifi for the game streams to work. RE: College Football
I also have to say I liked tune In Radio's coverage this year. True, they probably don't have every team and every game, but the ones they do have are the ESPN Radio feeds, which are nice and unbiased. Also, the games I really wanted were available that way. I got the Alabama game, and when there wasn't a game on in which either particular team was one I was totally passionate about, I checked out the Purdue game and it was a really good game too. So that is also an option. Maybe it's not one you want as your only option, but it is nonetheless. Oh they also had the Compass college feeds too which were also unbiased. Unless I have a team I am particularly rooting for, I really enjoy when I can get unbiased coverage. Now I usually like the Bama broadcasters, but because it was there and easy, I chose the ESPN ones. And when it comes to pro, and the Eagles are playing, I don't care how tired or easy it is, I will not choose an unbiased feed; Eagles network all the way grin but I digress. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Bobby Druesedow Sent: Friday, August 29, 2014 11:13 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: College Football There are several different ones. Re: College Football
Tune in radio also has tons of college football this year. Way more than they've had in the past. I like an app called all football. You can select your favorite teams and get a notification just before the game starts. The audio quality seems to be pretty good.
