Re: Dealing with youtube ads
One possibility is to convert the videos to MP3 using the free Clip Converter online service. The converted videos do not have ads in them. Take the Mp3 files and place them in a folder. Add this folder to your iTunes library and synch your iPhone with iTunes. Your converted videos will be in an album in the music app with no ads. RE: Dealing with youtube ads
Hi Chermeen, That doesn't surprise me a bit considering how many services are still not available in Canada. Our copyright and digital rights laws are different and all of that needs to be resolved. Netflix, for example, has around 4,000 movies and TV shows here in Canada and in the US that number is about 7,000. Hulu is not offered in Canada and neither is Pandora. If you subscribe to Amazon Prime in Canada you get a few benefits, but in the US and even Germany a Prime membership includes Amazon Instant Video which like Netflix allows you to watch mvoies and TV shows on demand, but it's not available in Canada. We have come a long way in that at least we have Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal and so on, but there is still a lot that is not available here. You may also be prompted to sign-up when watching videos. I have started to watch many videos and have had a message pop up about YouTube Red. Underneath the message I found my video and the usual items on a YouTube screen. Wayne On 4/22/16, M. Hello Shermeen, If you live in the United States, you can sign up for YouTube Red. YouTube Red is a monthly-paid subscription service by YouTube, exclusively for users in the United States. It provides advertising-free streaming of videos hosted by the service, offline and background playback. >From within the iOS app, I believe the option is listed in the Account section.
