Does anyone know how I can turn up the sound on my IPad without voiceover's volume being affected too (e.g. when watching videos etc)?

2015-08-04 Thread 'Eleanor Roberts' via VIPhone
Hi all

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. I was just wondering if
there was a way of adjusting the balance of sound between voiceover and
whatever else I may be listening to/watching on my IPad? For example, if I want
to listen to music, watch videos, or clips on YouTube etc I turn the sound up
on my IPad so I can hear whatever it is. However, this then also means that
voiceover is extremely loud too, which I don't need. So is there a way of me
being able to listen to things on my IPad and turn the sound up without
voiceover's volume being raised as well?

Any suggestions muchh appreciated. Thanks.

You can use the volume adjustment on the roter to turn down VO to the
level you like. This will adjust VO without changing the volume of
other audio like music or video or whatever.

2015-08-04 Thread Donna
Hi if you go to settings, sounds, and turn off change with buttons, this should
allow you to adjust the volume of music etc without affecting voiceover volume.
You could also use the rotor to adjust voiceover volume while listening to
media files.

Re: Does anyone know how I can turn up the sound on my IPad without voiceover's volume being affected too (e.g. when watching videos etc)?

2015-08-04 Thread Chris Chaffin

You can do this two ways, by turning down the volume of voice over, or by
turning up your sound volume which does not include voice over.
To adjust your sound volume, go to the control center and swipe until you come
to the volume setting.
To adjust the voice over volume, you must first add the volume choice to your
rotor. This can be done in settings, general, accessibility, voice over,
rotor. Once this is done, you can just turn your rotor to volume and flick up
or down to adjust the voice over volume.

Hope this helps,

Chris
