RE: Fleksy I think has a problem.

2012-09-14 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hello Reggie,

You made a good point regarding putting 2 empty lines before you even start
typing in Fleksy. I just tried this and verified that it will indeed cause
the subject field to be empty. Turning off the Include subject in body
will avoid having the subject line repeat in the message body. As far as the
subject line goes, however, I find it very convenient that whatever I first
type and separate from my main text with two new line commands will be my
subject. Why leave the subject blank only to have to type it with the what I
call the slow keyboard once I am in the mail app.

Regards,
Sieghard

So, if I turn the setting off and when I type in Fleksy and start by putting

email will disappear and I can name the subject anything I wish? Thank you

paragraph marks that show up in all my emails from the computer to leave and
show space instead, I would be dancing a jig here, though I don't even know
how to dance one! (smiles) You will not see them in your post, but I sure

Hi Reggie,

Fleksy is designed to do this if you use the email function. The way it
works is that whatever you write as your first line of text is automatically
used as the subject line. The trick is to insert a new paragraph (2 new
lines) between what you want your subject to be and your main email text. I
think it's 2 new lines, maybe 1 will do, but I know for sure it works with
2. There is also a setting in Settings Fleksy where you can indicate as
to whether you want to repeat that subject line as your first line of text
in the message body. I personally turn this off because I don't see a reason
why I'd want to repeat the subject as the first line of my message.

Now when sending email from Fleksy, it takes part of the first line, puts it
in the subject and does not repeat it as the first line of the email but
just continues the first line of the email with the next word where the
subject cut it off. Anyone notice this?

RE: Fleksy I think has a problem.

2012-09-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hello Robert,

My statement was correct. I just went to the Fleksy settings to make sure
and the email setting you can turn on or off is called Include subject in
body. This means that if you turn this off the first line of the text you
type in Fleksy will appear in the subject field only. If it is turned on it
will appear in the subject field and it will also be repeated as the first
line of text in the message body.

You state that There is a setting you can turn off which will cause the
first line of your text not to appear as the subject of your message. There
is no such setting, only the setting not to have the first line of text be
repeated in the message body, but no matter whether you turn this on or off,
the first line of Fleksy text will be used as the email subject.

Exactly, it you turn the setting off, type in what you want your subject line
to be, leave a couple of blank lines and then resume your message, all should
appear appropriately. This won't work it the setting remains on.
