When typing with Fleksy, I notice that my text does not delete once I post it or send a message. Is there a way to have my text automatically delete once I am done with it? This cannot happen unless Apple significantly reduces the restrictions on how developers can access iOS. Fleksy would love to have this option, but it does not look that in iOS 7 there will be any change in that regard. Apple also did not mention any significant changes to their own virtual keyboard, I could see this happening if Apple decided to take over Fleksy's idea and implement such a keyboard themselves, but for the next year and a bit until the release of iOS 8 it is very unlikely this will happen and then we have to wait and see what they do next year. Hi, Much as I like Fleksy, I don't think it ready to be a default keyboard yet. Although many don't seem to experience it, I and others still can't manage efficiently the accurate mode. Hello. I just updated to the newest version of Fleksy. I'm wondering whether or not I'm doing something wrong with setting up favorite. I do a double finger swipe up and go to settings. Then I go to set up favorites, then add. Then when I double tap on the contact I want, I Double tap on the info: whether the iPhone, email, etc. When I do this, I'm immediately brought out of the app and back onto the home screen. What am I doing wrong? When I go back in to see if the favorite has been added, it has not been. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Hi again, how do I get Fleksy not to put the first words I type into the subject field of a message when I use it to write and send an email? I want the first line to go in the actual body of the message, I will write my own subject. Or should I write the subject above what I intend to put in the message? Hi Kirsten, I find most convenient the following: First, toggle the Include subject in body to the Off position in the Settings app located in your homescreen. This setting will make the first line of your text in Fleksy be your Subject line. Then, when typing in Fleksy, start by entering a new line. This will leave the Subject line empty and all the actual text entered in Fleksy sent to the email's text body. You can turn is off in the settings. If you want to write a new email, write your subject, double space with the new line key in the lower right corner and write your body to your email. That subject2 lines above the text will be put in the subject space. I think this was part of what you were asking. Hello Tina, You can safely use the Restore button. All it does is activate the full version of Fleksy again, since you have purchased it before. Nothing bad can come off of using the restore button (smile). Hi Eric, A while ago when I upgraded to the new version, I had lots of problems in purchasing the full version of Fleksy. The developers stated that there was a bug when upgrading for some of us. I wrote to support and they were awesome in fixing the issue and even gave me more then what I purchased the app for in a gift card for my troubles. I recommend you contacting them. Swiping left will delete the word. I don't know of a way to delete just a letter. Bill and others, I would like to do the in app purchase for Fleksy but cant figure out where it is. When I first got Fleksy it started with a screen with a few options including instructions. After playing with the app a little it no longer opened to that screen but now just starts and says tap once to start or something like that. I checked Fleksy settings in the settings area of the phone and there is nothing I can do there. In my current app I can't figure out how to get out of the typing mode. This may of been asked already, and I may of mist it, but if it has, I am sorry. I still need to ask it in case it hasn't. So, I am trying to set up faves. I don't want to memorize everyones cell phone to send a text. I know that I can go into settings and to flexie to set up faves. I tried to putting just the name of the contact that I have in my contacts, but when I tested it, it didn't go through. Does it only require phone numbers? If so, and you have like 10 faves, and you don't want to memorize all the phone numbers, how can you set up the faves? If I put Jane DOE 123-456-7890 will that work? Or will it only work if I put 123-456-7890 seperated by camas? Put your finger right next to the volume down button on the phone and tap just slightly if it does not pop up. You will hear a tone, and then you can flick right to see any favorites you have put in. The first is copy/clear which allows you to grab your post and then go to another app and place it in. Hope that helps. Hi Tess, Right now you do have to remember the numbers. You can only put phone numbers and/or email addresses in the Favourites field in Fleksy Settings, no descriptive labels or names are possible. However, don't worry too much, I was told a while back by Fleksy support that in iOS 6 they have more options to integrate with the Contacts you already have on your iPhone, I would say it's probably a priority for them to fix this so that you can sinply pick a contact from your contacts list and select either a mobile number for that person to send a text or an email address to send an email. Be patient for another few weeks, iOS 6 is most likely going to be publically available around September 18 or September 20, of course Fleksy may not have an update right away to implement this, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were working on it. Hi Tess, Are you aware of the fact that you can still type the slow way with Fleksy? By that I mean if you wanted to type LOL you can still find the l and wait until Voiceover speaks it, then find the o and again the l. Only thing the Fleksy guys have to improve is the sensitivity of touch or whatever one wants to call it. Often when you find a letter and wait until it's spoken and then by the time you lift your finger you sometimes get the letter next to it because the slightest sideways movement as you lift your finger will do that. Just use the very tip of your finger and lift straight up, if you do get the wrong letter a left swipe as you type slow will only erase the letter you just typed. If you haven't read the entire instruction section I encourage you to do so, the instructions are quite good. Often when you find a letter and wait until it's spoken and then by the time you lift your finger you sometimes get the letter next to it because the slightest sideways movement as you lift your finger will do that. Just use the very tip of your finger and lift straight up, if you do get the wrong letter a left swipe as you type slow will only erase the letter you just typed. If you haven't read the entire instruction section I encourage you to do so, the instructions are quite good. Be patient for another few weeks, iOS 6 is most likely going to be publically available around September 18 or September 20, of course Fleksy may not have an update right away to implement this, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were working on it. Hello, what I have done is remember the names that you have put in the fav. list, I just put the friends that I text the most in the list in alphabeticly. then I used the relabel button feature in IOS, double tap with two fingers and hold, until you hear the tritone on the button that you want to relabel. then find the text field in the middle of the screen, you will have to delete a bunch of text, but you then can put your friends name in this field then hit the save or done button, can't remember which it is at this time. and repeat these steps for your favlist in the app. hth Ed On Aug 31, 2012, at 7:53 PM, Sieghard Weitzel siegh...@live.ca wrote: Hi Tess, Right now you do have to remember the numbers. Hi there, When I type a punctuation mark other than a period and then I want to add a blank line, I swipe to the right and hold. It then adds a period and then a new line. How to I add a new line without adding the period since I've already used a different punctuation mark? All you need to do is flick to the right like with the other gestures but don't lift your finger up. Basically just slide to the right and pause with your finger on the screen.
