That is a mighty exciting part of the world you live in Jewel! Or, maybe it is
mostly in your head! Let us know or let me know how much you like that stand
once you got it set up and you're using it.

Re: Fobydo Stand

2016-05-26 Thread Jewel
I have just bought a Fopydo stand and I hope it is as good as its users have
said it is.
It will take some time to arrive, so I cannot describe it, but from what Ican
gather, it holds the camera at the correct distance from the page and holds it
rock steady, whereas your hanbd, when you come to an exciting bit of the page
you are perusing might tremble a little, or a lot, depending on the level of
excitement.
An earthquake will stir it up, but otherwise, the reading stand is immune to
all human emotions!

RE: Fobydo Stand

2016-05-26 Thread Richard Turner
Deidre,

The Fopydo Stand by itself takes up no more desk space than a piece of 8.5 by
11 inch paper. Well, maybe a half inch more, but that is all.

The book reading aid takes more room, but to insure good height and steady
phone, the Fopydo Stand is great.

Richard

I just went to the Fobydo site to read about the construction
of the stand. It will tell you all you need to know and do. The stand is way
more than I want. I am already out of my mind with computer related equipment,
which is why I love my phone. All I want is something streamlined that will
simply hold a page or paper down and hold the camera above it, as perhaps on a
slim wire frame. Even a clipboard for papers could do for single sheets of
paper.I'm getting pretty good accuracy with fairly predictable laid
out texts so I am not too worried about accuracy at this point just holding the
phone and not even having the papers always on a level surface or dark
background. I haven't needed a light source either other than the built in
flash. I have something in my kitchen that I think can do the job: It's a wire
frame to an old hand mashing fruit funnel shaped mill that is a good height!

I suppose if someone has a nice work station and plenty of room
to have the Fobydo stand always at the ready, that would be great.

Re: Fobydo Stand

2016-05-26 Thread Anne Robertson
One of the things I love about the Fopydo stand with book reading aid is that I
can have it on my lap while reading a book. It takes all the strain out of
holding the iPhone steady and getting the distance from the book right every
time.

Cheers,

Anne
