I never got the hang of scrub gesture,  either. So, just find another work 
around, instead.

Getting back to the main app store page on an ipad mini

Hi,  
I was just looking at something in the app store.  Now I want to get back to 
the main app store page on my ipad mini.  I mean where you can get app updates 
etc but I can’t seem to get out of the app info I was looking at.  
I have tried closing the app store in the app switcher and still when I reopen 
it the page returns back to what I was previously looking at.  I even tried 
completely shutting down my iPad and turning it back on but still the same 
thing happens.

Have you tried a two-finger scrub? I'm not sure if this will help or not.
