RE: Has anyone had experience with Jabra Rox Wireless bluetooth headphones?

2014-08-10 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Theresa,

I was a huge fan of the Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth model. I, too, have
smaller than average ears so size has been a issue for me.

I have never used a dual-ear Bluetooth solution.

I now use a Jabra Extreme Bluetooth earpiece. Now the Jabra Extreme, is very,
very small and is a single-ear device; at least, the model I have is, anyway.
This, and all of my previous Jabra models by the way, are so lightweight that I
do not use the included optional ear-clip.

The Jabra Extreme models are A2DP compliant and there is virtually no response
latency that I have noticed.

In fact, I use my Jabra both alone and in conjunction with Bluetooth keyboards
connected to my 5 S and the experience has been marvelous.

Alrighty, I got the phone thing fixed, thanks for that hint.

So about the headset, is there something I can look for in the specs that would
let me know if it will work or not?

A while back someone said to make sure it had D2AP or A2DP or sume such. I am
sure I wrote it down but of course can't find it.

I love the way the plantronic voyager performs but the physical set up doesn't
work for me.

When I did a search on headset in the archives it said there was over
1700 and that is a bit much to try to go through.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I know we have talked about headsets at infin itum.

RE: Has anyone had experience with Jabra Rox Wireless bluetooth headphones?

2014-08-10 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Teresa,

The delay when using any Bluetooth device is not something you can do anything
about. How big that delay is depends on the version of Bluetooth used, but also
on the quality of components used by the manufacturer. I do, for example, have
a Logitech speakerphone which can be used either wired with USB on a computer
or via Bluetooth with the iPhone. It is only Bluetooth 2.1 EDR but it is one of
the loudest and clearest Bluetooth devices I have tried and the delay is
probably the smallest I have yet seen and that includes a Bluetooth 4.0 speaker
I have as well.

As for putting your Phone icon back where you want it, this is no different
than moving any app. I assume you want it in your dock so just find it on
whichever home screen it ended up on and double tap and hold on it. When
Voiceover says "Moving Phone" drag it down to the bottom of the screen into the
dock area. The good thing is that there is no way to delete it since it's one
of the apps which come on the iPhone and none of these can be deleted.
Once it's where you want it just press the home key once to get out of
editing/moving mode.

Hi gang,

I'll put the bottom line on the first line, lol.
First problem- Has anyone had experience with the Jabra Rox
headphones? details of the problem are below.
Second question; how do you put the phone icon back on the screen?
this problem is due to the first problem.

A week ago I went to the Apple store and purchased a set of Jabra Rox
Wireless bluetooth headphones. They have fabulous sound for music and
the way they are physically is great. They are like large earbuds. The
part that sits in your ear bowl is big enough that they stay in my
ears very well. I have a hard time because I have little ears and also
ware hearing aids. I tried the Plantronics bluetooth voyager both the
legacy and the pro. I love what they do but they just don't fit my
ears so have continued looking and found these Jabras.

Briefly here is what they look like. just a cable going between the
two ear pieces with an inline remote with mike. This seems to work
very well with my small ears and hearing aid situation. The cable goes
behind your neck. I like the flexability of this rather than ridgid
ones. Also the backs of the ear parts stick together magnetically and
this also starts and stops some functions. So when they are not in
your ears they stick together on your chest like a neckless. Another
slick thing is that the back of one of the ear bud piece pulls away
and that is where the charger cable plugs in.

Here is the problem and this is a big one. They are not very
responsive when it comes to moving my finger around on the iPhone
touch screen. Because of this dificulty I in advertantly removed the
phone icon from the bottom line of my phone.

So the up shot is I have two questions.
Has anyone had experience with this and is there a solution or will I
have to return these and keep looking? I love these except for this
one problem.

Second: how do I put the phone icon back on to my screen?

Thanks for any help! ☺
