Re: Headphones that don't block your ears

2015-11-28 Thread Michael Feir
Aftershokz are addressing the sound leakage and other issues with
their latest headphones. I got in on the Trekz Titanium campaign and
should soon have a pair of those. The Blues 2S headset also
incorporates the sound enhancement and leak prevention improvements. I
believe they're available now. The TRekz Titaniums won't be available
retail for a short while yet.

The problem with bone conduction headphones is also one of there
bennefits, they don't block out other sound, but unless the volume is
turned down pretty low, anyone around you can also hear what you're hearing.

RE: Headphones that don't block your ears

2015-11-28 Thread Richard Turner
My head is too big for the Aftershokz so they never worked for me.
I just did a search on Amazon and there are a lot more bone conduction
Bluetooth headphones than I expected. They range from $50 to the Aftershokz
$99.99.
If anyone is serious about finding a pair of bone conduction headphones, it
would be wort browsing through the different ones and looking at the ratings
and reviews.
Several had 4.5 and above ratings. I did not take the time to read all the
details. But Aftershokz are by no means the only option out there now.

read somewhere that the new version is supposed to make them adjustable,
but I'm not sure.

What's the difference between the older Blues, the newer 2S, and the Trekz
Titanium?

Fair enough, but I'm not prepared to shell out the not inconsiderable
amount of money the new ones will cost just to find out whether they've
improved or not.

Are that headphones that you can hear without covering your ears and
blocking out other sound? I've heard there are some on this order that
use bone conduction or something like it.
