Re: How do I delete audible books from my phone?

2012-06-04 Thread Kimber Gardner
These instructions were very helpful once I realized I had to be in
the audible app for it to work. g

I have a related question. Why is the list of audible books different
depending on whether I am in the audible app or in the music library
and looking at playlists? This is confusing. I have four audible books
currently on my phone, but when in the audible app I see only one.

Obviously there's some piece I'm missing here so any info will be appreciated.

Remove from device. Double tap on this button, which will bring up a
confirmation and then you double tap on OK. The part will be removed
from your device. I've found that when I go back to the list of books
that are in the downloaded screen, I still see the book and parts I
have just deleted. To not see them again, I close the app with the app
switcher and then launch it again, then the books/parts are no longer
 visible.

Re: How do I delete audible books from my phone?

2012-06-04 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, you can get Audible books into your phone in 1 or 2 ways. Either via
iTunes or via the net without iTunes. If you sync from iTunes, then
Audible will see those books and so might your music library. However if
you get a book from the Audible app by itself and no iTunes, then only
the Audible app will see them. This is my preferred method of getting
books. Maybe that's what's going on with yours.

Cheers.

Re: How do I delete audible books from my phone?

2012-06-04 Thread Kimber Gardner
Yes, that is exactly what was happening. I had downloaded a book when
I first got the audible app, then later I synced a few more books onto
my phone and was listening through the music rather than the audible
app.

Another list member sent me a very helpful and thorough explanation of
the difference and I think I've got it straight now.

Thanks to everyone for the help.
