thanks to everyone's help, I now have 16 albums in iTunes. But I can't find the stinkin' list of albums or the songs within an album. Re: How do I see what is in the ITunes library?
When you open iTunes, there is a place where it will show you the current location of your iTunes library. It sounds like it may not be in the usual place. There should have been a folder called automatically add to iTunes. If that folder isn't there, pasting them in won't do anything. Or, you have iTunes set to leave music somewhere else, in which case, you could open itunes, and then on the file menu find add folder to library and navigate in there to where your music is, and open it. That will get it there too. Though, to be really safe, you may want to call Apple Accessibility and have them help walk you through it. I found iTunes media under music, and it was empty except for folders Books and downloads. So I pasted some albums into downloads, but I don't see them when I go into iTunes.
